Yeah, I don't even like Bret Hart, but I've never heard anything but how good he is with his fans.

DER GOES MAH BOY D-BAG! He admits he can be a prick a lot of the time, but he comes across as the kind of person who calls things how he sees them, and doesn't care whether people agree with him or not. That's how I see it too. He doesn't seem like a complete asshole, but he can be pretty blunt about most things, and I guess most people aren't used to that. But I guess that's just another reason why I like him. His dickish attitude doesn't rub me the wrong way, as I can be like that myself sometimes. Him being a dick to fans and not wanting to sign stuff stems from the fact that most of the "fans" he's ran into only want his autograph so they can put it up on ebay to make money off of. He's brought up this point himself. I'm sure if he noticed they are genuine fans of his, he'd sign stuff.

He seems like the very self-indulgent type that views his fans as "marks". I doubt he'd want to spend any time with people that enjoy his work. He might just be one of those people that prefers to be alone or in the company of a very close network of friends. Which is fine, not everyone can be a friend to everyone. Guys like Mick Foley and Bret Hart are just people people, not everyone is.
On the contrary, John Cena seems like one of the nicest people you could ever meet, but I can't stand his character.

He seems to have a similar taste in music to me, so maybe we'd get along.
Then I'd tell him of my secret love for the music of Phil Collins, and he'd never talk to me again.

I think Punk is kind of a solitary guy, and doesn't do well in big group situations.
Plus some Punk fans seems especially annoying about asking him inappropriate questions at inappropriate times. Didn't he mention someone coming up to him while he was in the dentist chair? And Maria's youshoot was like half "How big is punk's weiner" questions, so I can't imagine what people ask him.
I'd be a little touchy too if I got questions like that 24/7.

He's got this circle of friends and if you are in it or close to someone in it then he's cool to you. But if not, he pretty much can go from just being distant to being a dbag. Depending on his mood.

I don't see it really. I understand that he is cocky at times and very opinionated. But I don't think he seems like a dick. The way he is on twitter is sometimes a bit harsh but then some people REALLY deserve it. Generally I just think he is just a bit sarcastic.

You guys have to take this into account though: Punk (and every other WWE wrestler) are on the road more than 2/3 of a year. They wake up in a hotel room, get in a car and drive to the airport, get on a long flight, land, get a hotel room, wrestle their asses off, go crash in the hotel... and start it all over again tomorrow. It is a rough life and I can imagine coming off as a dick if I had people constantly asking wrestling-based questions, when all I want to do is just chill out for a few hours.
It would be like any career with fans, they always want to know this or that or have you do this or that for them... It comes with the territory, but I can imagine getting tired of it sometimes.
Sure, we have a lot of stories of Punk being a dick... But as always, negativity floats to the top and we hear it and focus on it more. Maybe Punk is cool 75% of the time, yet "being nice" doesn't get on the dirtsheets because it isnt attention-grabbing news. Therefore, who really knows? Punk may be an alright guy, who is actually maybe shy or "hermit" like... Some people are not people persons.

I like the fact that he doesn't seem like a total butt kisser. I am not sure about how he treats his fans since I never met him or asked him for an autograph. I would care about that, which would especially be true if he was a d-bag. Other than that, I don't. All I care about in that instance is this: is CM Punk entertaining or not?

Bahahaha, really? How much money is CM Punk's autograph worth? $50 dollars? With a statement like that you come across as the person that he would act dickish towards and then complain when he does even though you did nothing to deserve his immediate respect and attention yet you feel entitled to have it.

Despite the fact that I think he's (OOC-ly) right about a lot of things, the way he expresses himself makes me think I wouldn't get along with him. He seems pretty irritable, and if I happened to ask what he felt was a stupid question he might get like "What are you, an idiot?"

Yes As much as I like him as a wrestler, he always seems like the sort of guy I would hate in real life. Definitely. Unless you're in a sitcom, I don't see how it's funny and cool to be a douche. If I had a friend like him I wouldn't be his friend for long.

I hate people who tippytoe around things so he just comes across as a straight up guy to me. I tend to prefer people what they think rather than not say anything for fear of offending people.
