Honestly, I don't want him established as a main eventer. Maybe at some point, I guess, but I can think of tons of people I prefer to watch. Hell, for one, his inevitable Mania match with Orton I would care more about if Barrett were in Bryan's place. As it stands the idea of Bryan / Orton, while it'd make for a good match, just doesn't interest me remotely. I'm also not looking forward to Orton/Bryan, but it's on Orton for me.

That's not how I'm reading it, though. I think he deserved to be champ, but now that he has it, he'll do ANYTHING to hold onto it. And that's what makes him a heel. I think he did too, but in context of the story and the way they're playing it...? He wussed out with cashing in his shot while the opponent was barely conscious, then celebrating like he won the World Cup singlehandedly when he beat...whoever that was on Raw.... and with this deal going on with him beating Big Show by DQ? Smells like "undeserving champion" to me. Who knows? He may make it work. He may be able to get his credibility back once they feed him to Orton or something...it's just not anything I care to see play out. That was Cody Rhodes, the guy they're pushing as beating a legend on Smackdown and who beats that legend clean tonight
