tommarow night Raw is in John Cena country, in Boston, Ma. It will be pretty interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets there. Will he get the hometown pop, the usual mixed reaction pop, or what?
and remember theres a special Cena hate thread now, so take that junk over there not here, i just want to know what kind of reaction you think he'll get.

Hometown for the most part. For the 3% that is the IWC...will boo him for the most part. Just my prediction.

He didn't get a mixed pop last week, when he had nothing to do with Kurt Angle.

Yeah the only real unwated booing I remember last week was the EC announcement. Which I found funny.

i thought this weeks raw was the taped one from Afghanistan? surprsingly they taped that one a week in advance. I guess it's one of those, this doesn't count, episodes where storylines take a backseat to reality.

You know I\'m a Cena mark but I\'m beginning to think that if he isn\'t over then he isn\'t over.
It\'s a shame but instead of flogging a dying horse WWE should do something creative to spice things up.

I'll say thins again, Cena shouldn't be booked like traditional super hero, like Hogan has been, because those days have been long gone. Those died when Hogan left WWE the first time.
Ever since the Attittude Era, people prefer the anti-hero or the pseudo-faces, like the Rock and Stone Cold.
Besides booking Cena as Hogan isn't compatible, because Cena's gimmick is that he is trash talking no nonsense ass whooping ass kicking sonofagun, which is actually supposed to similar to the Rock and Steve Austin.

Cena is over and if the people in his home town are smart enough to realize he is a hometown boy he'll get a big pop. Hell I've been to several live events and he's always gotten a good pop when I've seen him. Specially the one show I went to where he wrestled twice in one night and then gave a speech to the crowd about how great it was they cheered him and showed up or whatever. It was really cool and I've never heard him do it any other time I've seen him life so I dunno if it was a one time deal or what but when he was finished the crowd loved him and that was when he was officaly over in my mind... I have no idea why I typed all that... sorry.

Run on sentences Galore!!! Don't worry, you aren't only one that doesn't get what you were saying, because I didn't.
Seriously though, break that thing. It's hard to read.
But in any case, he's losing pops, or rather, Kurt Angle is gaining pops. It's weird, because Angle Vs Benjamin, Benjamin gets pops, but Angle Vs. Cena, Angle and Cena are 50/50. Go figure.

Exactly.
Shelton's home town didn't have any effect, either, since they booed him for his post-match actions.

There's two explanations; either he's gaining heel heat, or losing face pops. If it's the first, WWE will eventually turn him. Maybe not now, but they will. If it's the second, Cena is in trouble.

It's the second. If it weren't for the teenagers, he'd be getting verbally abused a lot, I think.
The problem lies in WWE fixing the solutions rather than the problems. Kurt Angle is/was DYING for the title, but they refuse to hand it over and try to avoid the problem by having Kurt tell the fans to go screw themselves, despite the obvious fact that they were cheering for him, not Cena. John Cena, on the other hand, continues to commit career suicide because WWE refuse to change him.
It's quite frustrating as a fan.

I just wished WWE booked Cena more like Austin and Rock rather than Hogan. Kurt Angle is reaching Ric Flair level of popularity; it doesn't matter if he's Face or Heel, he' KURT ANGLE.

Definitely. It would make so much more sense if Cena was chasing Kurt for the belt instead of going against the grain.
As for the style of booking, you can't play it too aggressively with Cena. Every time he's supposed to look angry or intense, he just ends up looking like an idiot. His facial expressions, I mean. For instance, when he had Masters locked in the STF.

Yeah, he does look funny when he's intense. But i blame WWE Creative. Damn you WWE, for screwing up his heel career. I love his promo against Angle back then. But that means Cena can never be placed with a veteran, or he will get booed. That's not good.

His heel persona should be his babyface persona, and vice versa. Either that, or they should fix his cheap character already.
I think that Cena can feud with a veteran, as long as he's not defending the title. Crowds tend to root for the stronger character if they're chasing a belt, and I think this is one of the reasons why he just isn't meant to be the champion, but not the only.

I gotta have my pops! Sorry, I couldn't help it. He'll probably get a crazy big reaction from his hometown crowd but I think the longer he gets the Rocky Maivia treatment the fans will turn on him like Cujo, even the Boston ones.
