I've ever seen - and I've seen Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star.
I've been in a Batman mood lately, and seeing as I haven't seen either of Joel Schumacher's Batman movies since I was real little, I thought I'd give them a spin to see if they're as bad as often rumored.
I'll give Schumacher credit, Batman Forever, while camp and over the top in places, is not a bad movie at all. I feel that the casting decisions were very well done, and overall it's a perfectly acceptable Batman movie.
But Batman and Robin, dear God, how do you go from decent to terribly, terribly bad in the span of a few years? George Goddamned Clooney as Batman, seriously, who casts George Clooney as Batman? Past that, it's just an awful, awful film. I remember really liking the movie when I was young, but my God it's as bad as they say - and worse yet. Uma Thurman's... less than stellar acting job, muscle bound doofus Bane, puns, puns, puns, bat credit cards and puns - just, my God is it bad.
Of course, I'm not telling you guys anything that you didn't already know - but sweet Jesus was it bad. I have a theory that deep down Schumacher hated the Batman franchise and wanted to destroy its legacy forever - thankfully Christopher Nolan more than made up for it.
So, FAN, in terms of the worst movies of all time - how far up is Batman and Robin on the list, in your opinion?

I actually find it entertaining for how bad and campy it is.
It's a piece of shit, but you can still laugh at it

To be completely honest with you, and I know I'm probably one of the few who will say this, but I liked Batman and Robin. Like, George Clooney kinda worked in that depiction of Bruce Wayne. Was it campy to the nth degree? Yeah. Did it have some problems? Of course, but I can have fun with it.

It's laughable in its patheticness, actually. Plus, I presume it's fun to have a drinking game with Mr. Freeze's ice-related puns.

Nothing in the history of the world in worse than Bucky Larson, I would know I watched it. Twice. In one sitting.

As a kid, it was the first movie that I knew was s*** as I watched it. Usually anything could entertain me when I was a kid... but not that movie. The bad thing is, George Clooney IS a real life Bruce Wayne. Millionaire, Philanthropist Playboy. But did he ever phone it in as Bruce Wayne...
Bat Credit Card. That's the legacy of this film.

Bat Credit Card. That's the legacy of this film. It was a one-second gag, and people still treat it like it was the crux of the entire movie. The Nostalgia Critic has a lot to answer for. Imagine if people dissected every bad joke he ever made to the same degree.

Imagine if people dissected every bad joke he ever made to the same degree. I didn't even associate it with NC. I didn't mean that "Bat Credit Card" will be literally the thing it'll be remembered for. I mean the idea behind "bat credit card" will be what the film will be remembered for. Bat credit card represents every bad Ice related pun, bat ice skates, the horrible performances and everything else wrong with this movie. I don't know if you've experienced the pain of being an excited little kid anticipating watching your favorite superhero on screen again, and getting Batman & Robin as a reward for your patience. It's a feeling that sticks. This film broke my heart when I was a kid... It disappointed me that bad.

I couldn't even get through all of Bucky Larson, I tapped out after 45 minutes. B&R I can happily sit down and make fun of with friends, but it's not worse than Bucky. Or certainly not Cat In The Hat.

The worst part is its pretty much killed Mr. Freeze in any Batman-media (aside from the comics). The only time i saw Mr Freeze depicted after this was on an episode of "The Batman" where he made ice puns that were WORSE than the ones in this film ("Have an Ice day!"), and that's all i can remember. And since Mr. Ice Pun is all people think of when they see the character, that likely kills his chances of being in any future batman movies (though a live action version of Heart Of Ice would be neat to see).

Love this movie. Always have and probably always will. Same way I love Die Another Day in the Bond series. Something about movies like this just amuse the hell out of me. I'd venture to say as a huge Batman fan I've watched B&R more times than any Batman movie not named The Dark Knight.

I actually think the problem with B & R was that they tried to keep certain elements serious and thus made it a bizarre blend of pathos with characters like Freeze and bad ice puns. Had they just done a full blown comedic film, an absolute throwback to the 60s series instead of half assing it I think I would have gotten into it.

They treated him with respect in Batman: Arkham City. That's a whole other issue I have with the film. Growing up, my favorite villain was Mr. Freeze and I loved The Terminator films, so when I saw that Arnold Schwarzenegger was playing Mr. Freeze... I was pumped. Then he appeared wearing a fur coat... and polar bear slippers... The feelings are just rushing back to me.

I'll always have a soft spot for Batman & Robin, mainly because we had a 20 page thread of us watching it when it was on TNT one time. officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ot2010&action=display&thread=284561In all seriousness though, it is a bad movie. But the unintentional comedy more than makes up for it. I haven't seen Bucky Larson (I would never want to force that on anybody, let alone myself), but I'm going to assume it's automatically worse based on the commercials I saw for it (same goes for Jack & Jill).
