The worst part is its pretty much killed Mr. Freeze in any Batman-media (aside from the comics). The only time i saw Mr Freeze depicted after this was on an episode of "The Batman" where he made ice puns that were WORSE than the ones in this film ("Have an Ice day!"), and that's all i can remember. And since Mr. Ice Pun is all people think of when they see the character, that likely kills his chances of being in any future batman movies (though a live action version of Heart Of Ice would be neat to see). I dunno if I'd agree that the puns were THAT bad, personally. I mean, if you think of it as Freeze either being insane or a sadist it kinda works. I think his chances of being in film is probably more hindered by the fact that Mr. Freeze isn't terribly realistic unless you make it either like Batman and Robin or something like Arkham City. I had a copy of the Batman and Robin on-set shooting script for a while. Every time you hear a pun, know that there's usually a pun directly before and after it that got cut. For example, in the opening scene after he freezes the police and says some pun that ends with "cop-sicle," what you don't see is one of his goons shattering the frozen police and Freeze then quipping "COP-Suey." As someone who has hosted several bad movie weekly events in New York, 'Batman and Robin' probably falls somewhere around the 20-30 mark. The only superhero movie I can think of off-hand that's worse (in terms of not making sense, not developing characters, looking unappealing and just being a waste of resources) is 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' In terms of most disappointing movies though, it has to be Top 3. I don't recall another lucrative franchise in my lifetime being absolutely killed by one film. Also, count me in as one of the kids who recognized the movie in theaters as my first time realizing a movie wasn't very good. Happened again several months later for Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

Clones of Bruce Lee ? Mortal Kombat 2 ? Police Academy 7 ? Street Fighter ? Superman/Jaws III and 4 ? Hey now, Superman III is awesome if only for Petty Dick Superman and Clark having to face off against him in the scrapyard.

The Transformers sequels are worse. At least this was meant to be campy and silly, it's just not what the audience expected from Batman.
Those two films are just horrible and make no sense.

I just don't get why they thought ANYONE in this day and age wanted to see that goofy s***.
I mean, it's easy to blame Schumacher, but hell, there were hundreds of people involved in it, and apparently none of them thought how stupid this was.

I turned 28 years old earlier this year and decided to have a Batman themed birthday party. For some bizarre reason, we watched Batman & Robin and while I've only seen it a handful of times, it manages to get worse every time. This could be due to the fact that I now have the Nolan movies as a measuring stick to how I feel an on-screen Batman should be represented.
Granted, they're two completely different movies with two totally different filmmakers behind the camera - it's just shocking that one person could even look at Batman the way Schumacher did after the massive success the character achieved when it transitioned to a darker style in the 80s.
It's almost like Schumacher presented us with a late 90s version of the campy 60s show. No one wanted this, did they?
Awful on so many levels and not just the "bat credit card". That movie killed the Batman film franchise for several years. How can something kill a character that awesome?
As far as worst movie ever? I'm not sure I can back that statement as I've seen some serious trash over the years but it's a subjective statement anyway so not everyone's going to agree.

Anyone who thinks that Batman and Robin is the worst movie ever has not watched either Mystery Science Theater 3000 or any of The Cinema Snob's reviews.
There's movies there that make Batman and Robin look like oscar-worthy material. Such as Nukie.

Not even the worst Batman movie of all time for me
Forever is just so much worse, it's just so boring and has nothing interesting or redeeming about it
At least B & R is laughably bad

If Batman and Robin is the worst film you've ever seen, you are f***ing lucky. Batman and Robin has a brilliant camp value to it, it's dumb, it's entertaining, it's enjoyably shit. I have seen many, many worse films, some entertaining in their shitness, some not.

I'll take the campy, unintentionally hilarious Batman & Robin over the dull, pretentious Nolan trilogy any day.

Nothing in the history of the world in worse than Bucky Larson, I would know I watched it. Twice. In one sitting. Are you a masochist, bob? Owning and liking Leonard Part 6, the Ed Wood trilogy and Troll 2 says yes.

I don't think Batman and Robin is entertaining at all except for to make fun of, and I can do that without watching it again.

Nolan's movies are too serious and boring. Disagree on both points. You are totally stereotyping the genre, hell it's not even possible to to a cartoonish, fun version of Watchmen without butchering it. Nolan's take isn't for everyone but I like the tone of his flicks. He is pushing the boundaries of the genre and showing some real ambition.

Would watch B&R a thousand times before any of the Nolan films again. I'm dead serious.

Isn't a fun and lighthearted movie supposed to actually be fun? This isn't. At least Batman Forever has an awesome soundtrack. This has Uma Thurman at her absolute worst, an utterly pointless Bane and Batgirl, and a George Clooney who gave even fewer shits than he did in Ocean's Twelve.
