Wow this is insane. Right now it looks like the count is still at 27, but it could always be more. I don't get why this keeps happening at schools. The shooter wasn't even a student. Just some kid's bats*** dad. Two things to point out: 1. The number is staying consistent at 26-27. 2. The main shooter is aged somewhere between 18-22, so it could very well be either a disgruntled piece of shit or a domestic terrorist. And there could very well be a SECOND shooter, as that asshole is currently in custody. The whole state's resources (state troopers, medical examiners, etc.) has been mobilized for this crime scene. It's unheard of, especially when it comes to a school shooting.

Fox news is reporting that a whole Kindergarten class is unaccountable right now. Just sickening.

Fox news is reporting that a whole Kindergarten class is unaccountable right now. Just sickening. It could also be because the teacher and children got as far away as they could. At least it's what I hope happened.

NBC identified the dead shooter as being 20, dressed in all black, with two handguns.
God damnit, this is why we can't have good things. And I've got a sickening suspicion that it was probably some "trying to bring about the end of the world bullshit".

Makes me sad that these are such young children... But an 18-22 years old doing the shooting? What motive could they have? G/f?

This really makes me feel like a jackass for stressing all over the unimportant shit I have this week. I'm really sorry for these families.

It saddens me to see that kids that could've grown up to be something greater, to be the best of themselves, have their lives cut short. Those children could've grown up to be pro athletes, politicians, musicians, artists, UN ambassadors, scientists, etc. I just want to cry.

AP confirmed that the gunman was about 20 years old and had ties to the school in some fashion. The person police arrested is a suspect, but they're not calling him a second shooter, yet.

I don't want to say anything that will get me banned. But I will say that if there's such a place as hell there is a special place there for him. Really takes a lot of guts to shoot a bunch of kids who can't defend themselves.

I still remember one time when a drunk homeless man walked into the entry hall of my elementary school and was yelling and making a lot of noise, before some teachers escorted him out. He didn't have a gun or do anything but make some noise, but I still remember how scared I was as a 2nd grader just hearing an adult yelling like that in the school. I don't want to imagine what these children have gone through.

I am at a complete loss for words. So close to the holidays, and now these families have to deal with burying their children. It makes me tear up just to have to write that, so I can't even begin to grasp how the families of the victims are feeling right now.
There are other things that I would like to bring up with regards to it, but this is neither the time nor the place.

This is the sort of thing that can turn you into a nihilist. When things like this come about that just make you want to scream "f*** THE WORLD", it's awfully hard to resist that temptation.
Knowing someone my age was that messed up to deliberately plan to go into this with multiple weapons and a shot gun... It just makes you want to stop caring and just sort of coldly go through life. If life is that useless that some twisted miscreant with a gun can just blow you away, I don't know what the point is.
Also, we need to stop plastering their names in infamy. It's what they want. We need a version of Damnatio Memoriae or Orwellian unpersoning for beings like the two shooters.
Also, f*** the world.
