^ What was so bad about that one? Hardcore Holly was once literally in a stable based on losing all the time. J.O.B. Squad was even one of the highlights of his popularity as a wrestler. Oh, I know...I'm a long time fan. Holly rebounded and made a nice career for himself after 1999. At least he ended up getting a little credibility. And he & Punk were having a mini-feud. I didn't see the travesty many others did in that match result. I actually wouldn't care about Ryback beating Cesaro if the latter wasn't U.S. Champ. I just hate seeing the secondary Champs always used as job boys to the upcoming main event challenger. I simply wouldn't book those matches at all. WWE always has a full roster of viable dudes to be fed to the main guys but they love to use the US/IC Champs...and the Money in the Bank holder too! That latter one might be even worse. Cesaro will indeed be fine though but I'm just an old fart who liked when his Intercontinental and US Champs rarely lost during their reigns. The R-Truth losses were cool with me cause it was buildup to the PPV title match. While Ryback ain't gonna follow this win with "Feed me Cesaro"...as far as I know

Cesaro looked like a million bucks. he was the first non wwe title match for Ryback that wasn't a complete squash.

He'll be fine, as long as his next 3 matches aren't against Cena, Sheamus, and Randy Orton.

Cesaro losing by countout shows that he was being protected. If he ate all of Ryback's signature spots and finish, you (the OP) would have a legitimate gripe. But a "screw this, I'm outta here" cout-out loss against Ryback isn't hurting him at all.
Hell, I didn't see any threads when he lost the same way to Sheamus 3-4 weeks ago.

This would be a problem if anyone outside the internet actually gave two f***s about Cesaro. The guy is talented but man is he dull. How DARE you, the man was in ROH he MUST be extremely entertaining. In seriousness, I agree with you. He is bland and 95% of his fan base are the IWC (If not more)

I have trouble thinking a loss to Ryback somehow hurts him more than losses to Justin Gabriel or R-Truth (regardless of him 'getting his win back' on those two).

Naw, I think it's more of people not wanting him to lose his momentum and become jobber to the stars. How WWE been treating him, it won't happen for a long time. He looked strong going against the top tier. Not like he lost to Zack Ryder in 2 minutes.

The other thing about Cesaro is that his ridiculous amounts of strength will keep him relevant moreso than if he didn't possess it. He's bought himself a little bit of extra time to figure something out personality/character-wise because the fact that he's got nearly Cena-esque strength keeps him credible.

Because heel streaks are dumb. Especially when built on the premise of "You only speak one language!"

Of course he isn't. I was just pointing out that the OP's problem was with Cesaro's pinfall loss last night, not his count-out loss on Monday.

I wouldn't even be that bummed if the match wasn't so short. It's a commercial-free show, they couldn't go ten minutes? I feel like beating Cesaro or somebody like that could give Ryback credibility, but could also help Cesaro (someone who's "pure strength" is a constantly-mentioned/seen feature of his) by having him survive for so long against this monster of a man. Ryback looks good by beating the US Champ, Cesaro looks good for lasting so long and getting his shots in.

I saw it more as Cesaro can hang with someone top tiered like Ryback, since he had the upper hand for a good portion of it.

Right, it's not like he got a pop at TLC (even one when he simply signified he was going for The Neutralizer!) or the other night. Obviously nobody gives a f*** about him. Nobody is saying he's over as hell but c'mon, don't make shit up about 'nobody outside the internet' caring about him.
