I'd like to see Ryback choose his opponents based on how similar they sound to food. "FEE ME CESARo SALAD!" What would JTG be

This would be a problem if anyone outside the internet actually gave two f***s about Cesaro. The guy is talented but man is he dull. Right, it's not like he got a pop at TLC (even one when he simply signified he was going for The Neutralizer!) or the other night. Obviously nobody gives a f*** about him. Nobody is saying he's over as hell but c'mon, don't make s*** up about 'nobody outside the internet' caring about him. Everyone agrees Cesaro has a bland character, but he is slowly getting over just by doing cool shit in the ring. WWE is realizing that just letting him do innovative power moves will get him over. Listen to the pops when he Neutralized BrOdus or gave Sheamus the Alpamere Waterslide

If you go back during the summer when Tyson Kidd had a mini-push (to make him look credible for the Money in the Bank ladder match), he would come out to no reaction, but by the end of the match, the crowd was rooting for him. It's like the crowd is entertained by watching exciting wrestling. Who would've thunk it?

I can't agree with the "No One Cares For Cesaro" sentiment, cuz my brother who's just a regular mark, is falling in love with the ferocity of Cesaro, and how he hasn't had a bad match. He knows nothing of his indie work, so that's saying something in my books. The guy's gonna get there with this slow burn. People are already watching to see how the hell he's gonna uppercut someone, so just throw in the ricola bomb (IN MY OPINION) and he's main event.

Really, this has less to do with Cesaro and more to do with Ryback. His position and his gimmick are so tenuous. He can't ever, ever, ever look weak, because his entire schtick is that he's strong. They're running out of people for him to steamroll.
And yes, they will obviously sacrifice the rest of the roster to protect someone they've painted themselves into a corner with. Why would we ever even wonder.

^ What was so bad about that one? Because he was undefeated at the time. Shitty way to end a streak and at the time looked like a depush for Punk.

Like I said in the SmackDown thread... If all it takes for a guy to lose his momentum/overness/credibility is to lose ONE match to a guy who is arguably the strongest-booked guy in the entire company that just about everyone else has already lost to, then he must not be that good to start with. This isn't necessarily at you, but it still baffles me how often losing one match can lead to BURIAL talk. The US champion should really not be losing matches. It makes the title look like shit. I might accept it if he lost to another champion. even then..eh.

I might accept it if he lost to another champion. even then..eh. That is true. Champions should be losing matches as little as possible. But my point is that it's not the end of the world for him. Besides, Ryback still is the de facto No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship, so for all intents and purposes, he's the No. 2 guy in the entire company. No shame in losing to him. The only solution to protect both guys is to simply not book the match in the first place, but then you end up feeding other guys to both. Someone has to lose in the end, because we can't go back to everyone fighting local jobbers or every match ending in a non-finish.

The guy is talented but man is he dull. The "great" Ryback is just as dull.

Doing fancy moves and getting people to say Ooh and Aah doesn't really mean a guy is over or getting there.

I will never understand statements along the lines of "He's only popular on the internet!" I mean...I suppose it's true. I guess 80 year old grandmothers who only want to use their computer to play solitaire probably wouldn't like him, but the internet isn't just a small corner of pimply guys making wizard jokes to each other.

I ask again ... exactly who is supposed to lose, ever?
Ryback gets 'hot-shotted' into the title/main event picture: "It's too soon, he should have beaten midcard guys first."
Ryback beats a midcard guy: "Waaaah. This is a blatant injustice. He's berrying the midcard."

Bonus points if you've been in ROH.

With a fine mint sauce, and a side dish of salad.
