I've tried watching it a dozen times, but the show just bores me. I have never been able to watch an entire episode of Seinfeld. People often call it the greatest sitcom of all time, but I just don't see it. I can laugh at Married With Children, The Simpsons, South Park, Frasier, 3rd Rock From the Sun, and Everybody Loves Raymond, but I just can't laugh at Seinfeld.
Maybe my sense of humor is broken.

I think it's f***ing hysterical but I know people who don't like it at all. Just one of those shows.

I enjoy it, although I think Curb is the better Larry David show.

Best show ever. But not for everyone. I know several people that don't like it at all; but it's one of those things that are subjective. Like NOT finding it funny is baffling to me, but eh, diffstrokes.

I like Seinfeld, but it's tough for me to watch the first 3 seasons (not sure which season the Chinese restaurant episode occurred). Seinfeld was slow to pick up steam, but it really caught fire with season 4.
I think the thing with Seinfeld is it was so radically different than it's time. As the show producers would say, "No hugging, no learning". There's no real pathos in Seinfeld, no tender moment.

You know what's weird? I was just about to ask you if you thought Seinfeld was funny. I'm glad you made a thread about it so I didn't have to.

I can get not finding it funny or it not being your cup of tea, but it's an incredibly well made show. The scripts and storylines are absurdly complex for network TV, and broke barriers in terms of how to present a story and characters.
When it comes to sitcoms, "Cheers" is the formula at its absolute best, and "Seinfeld" is the breaking of those rules at their absolute best.
Perhaps you're just catching the wrong episodes? I say "The Bet" might be the peak of the series, so if you want to give the show one more try to say for sure whether you can get into it or not, that would be the one. I know people who swore up-and-down that they couldn't get into the show, and that episode's accessibility made it finally click for them.

I can only remember watching one Seinfeld episode, the one where they get arrested/sued for filming and laughing at a guy who was being mugged. It was okay, but didn't convince me to continue watching the show.
And I never watched Friends during its initial run because it came on at the same time as Whose Line is it Anyway? From the syndicated episodes I've seen, all I can really conclude is that I hated Rachel and Phoebe, and wasn't too fond of Ross either.
