Sheamus' win was so dull and unremarkable, that a year later it's hard to remember it; at least Del Rio won a gimmicked 40-man Rumble, (plus I saw him win in person).
However, I have to say that THE most forgettable winner is poor old Big John Studd, who is sandwiched between the first ever winner and a pair of Hogan wins.
Also, for some reason, Taker's win seems rather forgettable to me, other than his final 2 thing with Shawn.

I think you misspelled Hardcore Holly for the winner of the 2004 rumble

John Cena's entrance at the 2008 was the only thing I remembered him doing. I can't recall how he won and Cena not only blew his title at shot at No Way Out, he lost again at Wrestlemania.

Taker and Benoit aren't unmemorable, those are weird choices for top vote getters so far. It's easily Big John Studd though, I barely remember he exists half the time let alone won the Royal Rumble.

Why is 'Taker unmemorable? An excellent Final Two with Shawn, and the last Rumble winner in five years to actually win his match and the title at WrestleMania (which was a very solid performance between himself and Batista), and he's unmemorable?

I remember Duggan well because he was the first ever winner. And I barely remember Sheamus winning last year so he gets my vote.

Studd, ADR, and Sheamus. Had to legit look them up to see how they won. Studd I can forgive because his entry was surprise, but the other two were then "main-eventing" in title matches at MANIA!

The combing of rumble years makes my vote weird but Shawn Michaels won in 1996? Can't remember a thing about it

Lex Luger winning(or co-winning) certainly isn't memorable, well except for the controversy sorrounding it. Its just he got a huge push in the beginning and then he did nothing months later.
Alberto Del Rio shouldn't have won in the first place. He was nor ready or even over at IC title level.

Sheamus has to be the dullest winner since Alberto Del Rio.

Yeah, but Sheamus is also the GREATEST winner since Del Rio won it.

Yeah the 1996 Rumble itself was mediocre and unremarkable but I wouldn't say HBK wasn't memorable since he won the title from Bret (Boyhood Dream and all).
The answer here is easily Studd. Thing is, that was the pioneering days of the Rumble when the stakes weren't so high and a fairly random guy could win. I assume they had some big Studd/Andre feud planned but it never quite panned out and Studd was gone again soon after. The weird thing is that nearly every major star was in the 1989 Rumble, so it's not like he won a watered down field with no Hogan, Savage, etc.

Bertie, Edge, and Studd.
I keep forgetting Edge and Studd won Rumbles, and the only reason I can remember Bertie is because of the Santino tease.
