The other night me and a friend were watching/talking RAW, what we liked and didn't like, after a long period of either of us not watching. I found that we both agreed that Sandow is a huge drawing point for both of us, whereas he was saying that his girlfriend really can't stand him, or Rhodes Scholars, at all. Not even so much offended by the egotism or what have you, but just automatically changes the channel when Sandow or Rhodes Scholars comes on TV. She's been way more in tune with the program than we have, recently. I feel the polar opposite. We talked about this for awhile and agreed he seems like one of the freshest, most promising stars in a long time. Does anyone not like Sandow? I'm new at getting back into the 'E, and just a curious to see the general consensus. I see him as one of the few talents on right now almost definitely evolving, perhaps beyond in a way through his Intellectual Martyr gimmick, which often is not set to last all that long, and really doing something big, for a while. Thoughts?

I don't know how anyone couldn't like him after that bit with he and Cody on Raw.
"Good form, Cody, good form! And I concur!"
His pompous mannerisms are hilarious. I miss his search for an apprentice.

He's ok. Not really one of my favorites. I don't hate him or anything but I could probably name 15 WWE wrestlers I like more.

Sandow is awesome. Like Lanny Poffo 2.0, if the Genius woulda seemed like a threat.

I'm a little surprised anyone likes him. He has one of the most annoying characters I have ever seen in wrestling. This is what I said about him in another thread: I hate Sandow. I hate the way he talks, I hate his bathrobe, I hate his ugly beard, I hate the pink tights, and I hate the stupid cartwheel he does. I want to see he him get beat up and I think a lot of people feel the same way. He's one of the greatest heel characters WWE has created in a long time.

He's appealing in a "message board meme" way.
Nothing beyond that for me.

I hope he lands on Kane and then everyone that doubts him.

I enjoy his admiration of Cody Rhodes a lot, for some reason. I find it funny that out of everyone Cody is the only person he's shown any affinity for.

I think he's pretty funny but his matches are extremely boring.

I find his character quite entertaining. Bonus points for owning those "what" chants.

I'm hoping Cody's mustache reaches preposterous lengths, ala Nietzsche, and that he and Sandow seriously run wild with the tag titles at some (near) point and have a solid reign. They can go their own intellectual routes which evolves into an MIT Street Fight. Till then, maybe both wear robes and go on to target top talents - tagteams and title-holders alike. Say, add another two or three members - like One Man Band subscribes to the Sandow Doctrine and decides to dedicate themselves to Higher Thinking, and a wild New Nation emerges to combat The Shield.
Also liked Sandow's online referencing to Ignatius, which I pretend is not so much Ignatius of Antioch but Ignatius Reilly from the novel A Confederacy of Dunces, which sort of suits Sandow's unjustified egotism perfectly (Sandow being in much better shape and not living as a hot-dog vendor). What I'd really like to see is Sandow built up to a certain point and sometime next year get to Cena, and beat him via ref knocked out with an ancient edition of Webster's Dictionary.

For a heel, I could dislike him more. Does he ever cheat? I can't remember.
We get it - we're stupid and we should hate you for thinking that, but I'm gonna need a little more to really give a damn.
I think he's got potential to grow and his character has a place to go in terms of a decent arc so...I'm on da fence.

I like him a lot. I think he needs a little more seriousness added to his character before I can buy him as a main eventer, but he's definitely IC title-worthy, and Rhodes Scholars are a perfect heel tag team.

What do you mean by seriousness? Interested in hypothesizing scenarios: Say, trying to figure out how this guy'll hit plateau(s). What would add the clincher element to an already understood, Genius persona? Different music, move set, lack of mic time, differed tone in promo, weaponry, different attire - maybe a manager - a Cody betrayal by means of climbing the ladder solo ? Maybe he could give the vocabulary a rest and really just start ripping opponents, and the audience - now that we've seen the man's got a solid grasp on the language and all things intellectual.
