He's no different than he was a year ago as far as the "whining" is concerned. He stopped when he got on TV and now he's doing it again because he's off TV. See, that's what I think. Ryder hasn't changed, we have. He was always making little digs at WWE for not putting him on TV. Basically, people wanted Ryder and eventually they got him... but then it turned out that he wasn't all that great, so people just lost interest. He was literally a meme.

He'd probably be in Upper Midcard "hell" like Kofi and Miz if he kept his mouth shut.

Thankfully for him, "whiny little bitch" is only about 65% of the way to "Matt Hardy", so he still has time to turn it around. Fortunately it's physically impossible to reach Matt Hardy levels without actually being Matt Hardy. So Zack is safe for now. But due to Zack's real name actually being "Matt" he could still end up being 99.99% there.

I don't hate him but his character has passed his shelf life, wrestling-wise there are people more talented than him who have had less to do than him in the last year (like Kidd) and personality wise the same (like Bateman). If he stepped things up his whining would be more justified.

I was talking about this before, where Ryder and Robbie E flipped in their view on the boards. Is it really over Ryder's attitude on twitter? His first post about how he won the US title at TLC in 2011 and wasn't booked in 2012 made me feel for him. But every time he's complained since, it's come off as whiny. Every story you hear about a wrestler becoming successful involves them taking a bit of initiative. Ryder did that, hence his first push with this character. But you also have to change and adapt. He thinks he should be main eventing with this comedy character? There are no comedy main eventers. Ryder needs to face the fact that his schtick is old, reinvent and promote himself again. You can't afford to lose the fire in this business.

He should use that extra spare time for acting lessons.

I voted Tim White sad. I've never been a fan of him, but he was super over for a bit, for some reason. He had a huge following up until he really got on t.v with Kane, then Cena. I think both of those situations killed any momentum he had going. His gimmick, or the way he acts...its killing him. If he keeps the Guido jersey shore thing he needs to watch Robbie E.(what?).

He'd be better off if they let him get some of his heat back from Kane at Wrestlemania. But no they made him look stupid again with Eve. Then 8 months of nothing at least those 8 months wouldn't have been as drastic.

Every time I see this subject come up, I think "if people went through the downfall Zack's gone through, they'd be whining so much that sad Zack would look jolly and chipper in comparison." No they wouldn't. Think about how many former world champions are on the roster, either roughly where Zack is in terms of getting TV time, or even far below him, like Jack Swagger. What about people like Curt Hawkins or Yoshi Tatsu who never even got a midcard title run and on the rare occasion they do get TV time, aren't even jobbed out to someone as high up on the card as Zack? Ezekiel Jackson's story is one of tragedy and an inability to ever get TV time, but he's not complaining about it every week. Zack got more than a lot of people in the company did, and he fell really flat when he got there. People have fallen harder and managed to not whine about it on twitter all the time.

It saddens me knowing how much the iwc turned on the guy after loving him so much during 2011. I kinda understand it, but I didn't really expect it. I mean people here still have faith in Cody Rhodes and he's pretty much been in the same spot for 5 years

The top face in the company relies on lame comedy and laughs off anytime something bad happens to him, and except for an occasional psychotic break, has been doing this for *years*.

It sucks that he was the one that brought the WWE into this whole social media friendly company, and all he's gotten out of it was that stupid Kane/Cena/Eve storyline and jobbing out his first U.S. title run.

^Is there really a difference? While all of those guys were incredible workers, their claim to fame was mostly their silly skits and promos.
DX made their name through silly segments. Chris Jericho and The Rock were the Insult Comics who tore down their opponents with nonsensical insults, and are the prototypes for the "wisecracking comedian face" that WWE currently pegs all of its good guys into. Kurt Angle, while a skilled wrestler, was a huge dork on the mic for the first few years of his run.
If these guys weren't funny, I don't think the fans would've ever initially cared about them enough to see them as serious contenders.
