Los Angeles. I have been around the world three times and been all over the US. The people I met in LA were the rudest and fakest.

Football grounds often seem to be in the worst part of a City eg White City near QPR, East Ham near Upton Park, Eastlands around Man City's stadium, Seven Sisters near White Hart Lane etc.
As for a whole town rather than bits of it...let's say Slough.

Haha I was going to say Montreal. I'm not surprised at all that it was the very first city mentioned.

Johannesburg. I didn't spend very long there and only walked around the hotel and airport (was in a car/bus for the rest of the short time I was there) but holy crap I was fearful for my life the entire time. You know a place is bad when the local urban areas have elctric fences and steel bars over their windows.

Nogales and Tijuana, Mexico.
Though apparently Juarez is much worse than even those two. Somehow. Because Nogales and Tijuana both are awful.

Don't really have any stories or experiences of atrocious cities.....
I drove through Camden once. I guess that's it?

Baltimore. Most of it is a ghetto. A damn scary ghetto. I've watched enough of "The Wire" to never visit there outside of going to an Orioles game. Worst city I've been to is Reading PA. Jesus what a dump. Also the 2nd poorest city in America behind Flint MI. Edit: Camden NJ is pretty awful too. Nice Aquarium though.

Middlesborough. My sister goes to uni there, it's a shit hole. She got put into student accomodation last year, and her next door neighbour was a prostitute who would always ask for spare change etc, and stabbed her boyfriend with some scissors (Who would've thought a Prostitute would have a Boyfriend eh?

Baltimore. Most of it is a ghetto. A damn scary ghetto. So is it worse than it's portrayed in The Wire? Johannesburg. I didn't spend very long there and only walked around the hotel and airport (was in a car/bus for the rest of the short time I was there) but holy crap I was fearful for my life the entire time. You know a place is bad when the local urban areas have elctric fences and steel bars over their windows. Is it worse than it's portrayed in District 9?

It wasn't a totally horrible place, but Grand Prairie, TX was gang central when I lived there in the late 80s and early 90s. I went back not too long ago and saw that my old neighborhood was pretty much dilapidated.

You know, if it weren't for the theme parks I'd pretty much hate Orlando.

Los Angeles. I have been around the world three times and been all over the US. The people I met in LA were the rudest and fakest. Depends what part of LA you were in. I can vouch that alot of LA is bullshit but if you are in East LA you can usually have some friendly conversation and might even be able to sneak in a free beer Aas for me.....I f***ing hate Florida St. Augustine and Daytona to be exact
