I know 2007 hardly counts as classic but I recently replayed The Witcher again and holy shit it's still awesome. Very fluid rhythm based RPS swordfighting, planning and preparing a set of utility items for every contingency like a medieval fantasy Batman, an exciting dynamic story supplemented with good writing and atmosphere and just so very much STUFF to do. This was my third playthrough, I still found side missions and picked up little back ground details that I missed the first two times and I didn't even get to do everything I wanted.
I can not recommend this game (and the sequel) enough.

I'm attempting to beat Super Metroid for the first time at the moment. I have the Ice beam and am enjoying it immensely.

It's not quite as easy to zip through it the first time, but the second time through it can be done very quickly.

Beat Ghosts and Goblins on my NES.
I don't believe in emulators, so this was somewhat hard. I did use the stage select option, but only after I beat a level so I didn't start at the beginning if I accidently hit start after a Game Over, causing me to lose all progress, so still everything is legit.
But f*** those flying demons, shitting goblins and randomly spawning ghosts. I swear the ghosts f***ed me over way too often when I would do good. And the bosses are very easy.

Is anyone else in a dead part of the country for retro games?
I live just southwest of the Twin Cities and it seems like anytime I see anything I'm interested in on Craigslist or even decent Goodwill scores all happen Northwest of the Cities. It almost seems like this part of the area has been completely bled dry.
Gets frustrating at times.

I know there's one in Northern Iowa that wouldn't be too far from you.

Sorry, but a loose Ocarina Of Time is NOT worth $70. I don't mind the places that still allow wiggle room through haggling, but the closest one to me is owned by a douche who believes he's the hand of god when it comes to pricing.... really surprised he's still in business.

You just have to bite the bullet if you want something. Vintage game collecting is a huge thing right now and inflation is going to keep happening. If you want something, you better get it before it goes up any higher.
But yes, Ocarina of Time is $30, tops.
