Right now the WWE is on fire.
Sure on Sunday I may have gone "urgh" at Cena beating Ryback (not due to Cena winning mind you, I just would have preferred Ryback) and the very end of the show, and commented a few times, but I really do love the product right now.
Good tag division, rebuilding the midcard, interesting main eventers (I'm not future booking so please don't mention "yeah get excited for Rock/Cena II, jerk!"), most PPVs are good-great, and a consistently good Monday night TV show.
I honestly think most people here enjoy it for the most part, it's just better to discuss negatives most of the time as people will always have ideas (some good, some bad) about how it may be fixed in future. I'm sure some people hate the product and post, but they'll be a minority if anything.
I mean, if people spend 5+ hours a week watching a show they hate then I'd seriously seek out a new hobby. But I doubt that's the case.

I honestly blame Money In The Bank and the Punk shoot promo for all of this negativity. I am not joking either. Yes, two things that were amazing I think raised people's standards and now certain things that used to be considered good aren't anymore. You know, I agree completely, that always struck me as the turning point around when the "pro wrestling is SERIOUS BUSINESS" vitriol really started kicking in around here. Well, it's not surprising, because it was divisive. Still have people arguing off the basis of that now. Too many gimmick posters that either puff up jacked up freaks or indy guys and then sit there and argue about it all day to amuse themselves. Not that I don't like pointless internet arguments, but when you're two years onto something it's probably time to let go.

I think we all want to enjoy WWE and are passionate about it. You just can't ignore when they do something bad, which just happens to be often lately. Nothing personal Ice, I'm just using this as an example. I' ve always said that oppinions are like armpits, everybody's got a couple and they all stink. Mine included. What bothers me is when people state their oppinions as fact.

I usually enjoy it, but there are a few things that sour my opinion at times
1.Plot holes. Some aren't that bad and I can easily overlook, but some (like the Cena/AJ affair angle) had plot holes so big and inconsistencies that it was way too hard for me to take seriously. I didn't mind AJ, and even liked her, as GM, and I like Cena and Dolph (could do without Vickie as a center heel figure, but don't mind her in small doses) but man that stuff made it almost impossible to like any of them.
2.The smartass babyface. Basically comes down to the WWE trying to get guys that fans get behind to be like the Rock. And while the Rock's jokes are very sophomoric and worthy of eye rolling, his delivery makes me chuckle. When other guys try it it comes off as trying to hard. It also kind of bugs me how heels will put so much passion into a promo just for a babyface (Cena and Sheamus mostly) to just smirk and laugh things off. It works sometimes, but others it doesn't.
3.Anticlimactic finishes. Good god have these pissed me off in recent years. Punk/Cena where it ended in a draw, the Rumble this year, Ryback/Punk at HITC, RTruth/Cena at Capitol Punishment. But the biggest one was the Cena/Miz I quit match. I like both guys, and I don't mind superman finishes. But the match is literally 20 minutes of Miz and Riley punishing Cena to no end, only for Cena to win after whipping Miz with a belt a few times then locking in the STF. It's hard for people to overcome things like that.

Does NXT count? Coz that show kicks ass! Raw and Smackdown! however, I haven't watched since a few weeks after Raw 1000. I'm Keeping up to date with everything but even reading results is torture. I get frustrated when I watch because to me, it's like they're purposely trying to put out a mediocre product. It's not all bad of course but I can't stomach about 90% of what WWE puts out anymore.

I would not be here if I wasn't. It's always the same people bitching all the time anyway.

I love it. Not a fan of The Rock as Champion or Cena winning the Rumble but this is the first thing to hack me off since Triple H winning the belt back at Unforgiven 2004. Not that I owe you or anyone else an explanation.

It's like MMORPG's. People that are having fun with the product have no need to browse message boards. It's the people with problems that feel they need to have their voices heard.
/ontopic I enjoy somethings the WWE does but I much prefer TNA. I've been paying attention to The Rock and Team Hell No. The things I don't like, I just don't watch.

Serious question, because practically every single thread around the WWE board is nonstop bitching about the product..... You should see the TNA board, it is exactly the same. Go figure, this is the IWC.

Not really right now. It has its moments but right now the product just seems like the same stuff on repeat and dry seldomly is there a "big time" moment. Most matches feel like they have absolutely no importance, and the next week the matches seem to be forgotten mostly. Everyone seems to have fought everyone else a hundred times. I've been watch since 1987 I just have a hard time giving up on it totally.

I honestly don't like it at all right now. To me, the product is god awful and predictable/stale. There's a lot of stuff about the company itself I despise (Vince McMahon, for example), but for me, that's secondary to the product.
I mean, if we were living in an alternate reality where someone like TNA/Chikara/ROH/PWG/etc. were serious competition and ran head-to-head against the WWE on Monday nights, I would probably never watch the WWE. But for now, it's the only game in town and it just feels wrong to not watch wrestling on Monday night.
Personally, I always compare WWE to an old friend who screws up constantly and treats you terribly. You feel like you should just cut your loses and wipe your hands of them. However, you've grown up with them, so you just keep them around hoping that one day they'll change and be as good as you remember them once being.

I think it's officially gotten to the point that the people complaining about the people complaining about the product has surpassed the people just complaining about the product. This forum was getting pretty negative for a while in the spring and summer but has made a pretty decent turn since then, when I think a lot of the negativity washed away.
Let's face it, there's always going to be plenty of things that we don't like about WWE's product (or other promotions, for that matter) and anything that people inherently disagree on makes for good conversation. The only other good conversation piece around here is humor, and we see a good amount of that too. Nobody's gonna post in a thread called "(So-and-so) is a pretty solid performer adequate in all aspects" with replies of "yep," "I agree," "fair enough" and "QFT." That thread wouldn't last too long on the first page and not too many of us would even bother to read it.
I just don't understand what some of these people want. We're given a topic, and express our opinions. Sometimes I find some of it a bit "troll"-ish but hey, we're all obviously posting here because we care, and if we didn't like it on some level, we'd simply stop caring.
Debate is mentally stimulating and can be fun, as long as people remain level-headed. It's never going to be 100%.

in all honesty I enjoy them more now than I have in several years. now is a good time for the company, they're getting a lot of things right. that said, liking something doesn't mean I'm not allowed to be critical of it when I still perceive there are things they could be doing better.

I've watched from 1993 till now so I think it's still got it's charm. It's just when they mess up or shove unfunny comedy skits down our throats or pander too much to the little kids that I get all "I WANT MY WWE BACK, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW!"

I like what WWE could be if they made an effort
I've seen how good it can be, and how easily they could be again (almost every element to make it great again is entirely within their control)
But unfortunately, booking the company to appease the owner, rather than the audience is the main obstacle to further growth and progress. Until that changes, they are in the holding pattern.

I think it's a mixed bag right now.
I think some of the stories and characters are excruciatingly bad but the actual wrestling right now is f**king solid, and THAT'S what keeps me watching.
If they could find a good balance of awesome wrestling and good storylines, I'd like it even more.

I watch roughly seven hours of first run WWE programming weekly, if I don't like them then I'm a real asshole.
