I'll eat my hat if any company is stupid enough to do this. Besides the best PR way to combat Used games is digital distribution. Also this rumor comes up once every 2 months or so for either system

yeah until I see real evidence I'm not putting much stock into it. this rumour comes up every time, and considering the push towards digital distribution I doubt companies would do something so archaic and draconian to say nothing of the idea being obsolete in a couple years. used games are going to disappear and it won't have anything to do with systems blocking them.

Yeah,the same thing was said about them. I guess we'll just have to wait for both of them to come out to see what's fact and what's not. I don't buy used games anyway so this wouldn't affect me but it is bad business.

That'll come in handy when new games will be nowhere to be found after six months and the option of buying them used won't be available. Oh well, I'm sure this won't in any way encourage people to download pirated copies that can be played on any console, or alternately pirate the machines themselves so they can accept used games.

Reports like these that claim the new generation consoles will limit things just to piss us off comes out a lot, and they end up being false.

However, I never rule them out entirely, so I take this with a grain of salt. If, for some insane reason, this happens to be true, then my decision to go from console to PC gaming will be A LOT easier.

If this is true, f*** them. That sounds juvenile, but still, that would be ridiculous. Like others have said, if this is true, they would definitely lose me as a customer.
