The Great Khali is a former World Heavyweight Champion, has worked high profile programs with The Undertaker, HHH, John Cena, Big Show and Batista, has performed at 4 Wrestlemania's and been consistently promoted as world title threat in the near 7 years he's worked for the company. How in the hell is he not good enough for the Hall Of Fame? Because he walks like his kneecaps are the spawn of Rey's and Taker's

I think people getting outraged over the idea of Khali going into the Hall of Fame is another sign that some people take wrestling way too seriously.

The only hall Khali should be near should be one where he's mopping the floor. As for Josh Matthews, he should engage his brain before speaking. hahaha reminds me of this little remembered moment.

Anyone have video proof this? I feel this is a wrestling urban legend that just gets passed around over and over. If anyone has links to footage, please prove me wrong. I can't find anything, but then again I don't see why any footage of Smackdown on Indian tv would be out there in the first place. It could be a myth though, who knows? I've read enough articles about it that I believe it, especially from experiencing first hand how popular non-American wrestlers can be in their home countries. I still don't buy it if there is no video proof and it's such a supposed big deal. There are Indian wrestling fans out there with senses of humor and Internet connections. Someone would be entertained enough by the edits to share the footage with the world or preserve it in the same way you can find bad dubs and stupid censorship online. As a counterpoint to your first-person POV, I lived in Pakistan (which is next to Indian and receives WWE programming through Indian cable providers) for a decade in the 1990s and visited again in the 2000s and never once saw shows edited to revolve around anyone. (The biggest changes would be censoring things like Attitude era segments by slicing them off, and then terrible dubbing in Hindi, but the latter were for Impacts.) I'm highly skeptical that footage would be chopped for an Indian audience's sake, especially when it would be next to impossible to do for more than a short period since Khali's title run was so brief.

I don't blame Josh. Lead commentators have to say lame things like that all the time.
