I didn't know where else to post this so here will do: We the people fight for our existence We don't claim to be perfect but we're free We dream our dreams alone with no resistance Fading like the stars we wish to be

The whole "natural" thing is a bulls*** argument. You know what else is natural? Poison ivy. Let's rub ourselves in it and feel it's natural goodness. I want to go into more details about my opinion on it, but I think it might break a rule and I accidentally broke one recently and maybe another in recent memory, so I don't want to test it. Except cannabis has proven medical usages and there isnt one single death in human history that can be attributed to cannabis use. Man, I wish I had a free gallon of gas for every time I saw someone try to rationalize their tokin' by pretending marijuana has no negative side effects or cultural impacts. I'd never have to pay at the pump for the rest of my life!

Regardless, driving while under the influence of anything is stupid. Driving while doing anything else is stupid.
He could have hurt someone. You can hurt someone driving normally so doing it under the influence of anything is ridiculous.

Except, there are still some health negatives as well and people shouldn't be driving stoned. One of my pet peeves is over glorification of weed.

Just to make it clear driving stoned is definatly a bad idea.
I really dont think anyone here has done real research about cannabis or knows anything more than what they've been told by the media and authority figures.
I'm not going to spend hours going into it but a few quick points:
The idea that cannabis has long term effects on mental health is a myth in the most part, it can have an effect on under developed brains, but so can cigarettes, fast food, processed meat and GM vegetables.
In these EXTREMELY RARE occasions those effects are NOT extreme cases like schizophrenia, its more just that person might be a little "slow".
All modern research now shows that there are no links between long term cannabis smoking and mental health issues in people around the age of 22 and over. In fact there are some strains of weed that have certain chemicals within the THC that are known anti psychotic elements.
Dont take my word for it, look it up.
I would argue that people relying on pharmaceutical companies to keep them doped up on Xanax or whatever so they can just get through the day, work meaningless jobs just to buy more material possessions has a bigger cultural impact.
I'm out.

I'm out. It's the pharmaceutical companies. They're working with the NWO and the illuminati I bet. Anyway, the information I looked up was again, scientific and the whole argument I, and everyone else was saying, was don't smoke and drive and looking up the negatives effects showing why one shouldn't smoke and drive. I also think that you may need to do more research as well and you may have a bit of a bias.

I think the whole argument needs to go ahead and stop before we get this locked.

One of the key differences in the situation you just brought up is that in most states, if not all, a DUI that results in a fatality is vehicular homicide, which is a felony. And most places of employment deal pretty harshly with felonies. I understand that. What I'm saying is, there seemingly has been no issues with those who got DUIs in WWE. And it isn't fair that people in the NFL can get away with stuff and guys in WWE can't. It isn't right, but if it ends up being the case where someone who is under the influence gets a DUI in WWE kills somebody, they will likely look into the track record of everyone in WWE who got a DUI. I'm not saying fire Swagger, but obviously there seems to be an issue with guys not caring, or living the party lifestyle, or whatever. It's joked a lot about how guys are always caught in Florida and such. I also feel it's not looked at as a big deal. Perhaps you have a bigger issue with society in general. For whatever reason DUIs tend to be misdemeanors, not felonies. Misdemeanors, almost by definition, are not looked upon as a big deal. Perhaps you would prefer DUIs to be felonies. While I can see the merit of that idea, that opens up a whole other massive can of worms.

see this is why so many people have left this message board, a 42 page thread where people are actually having a adult conversation about Weed, and because peoples are passionate about what they beleive, a Mod has to come in and tell people to cut it out.
Yet in the Off Topic thread, a Mod can create a Thread about his bedroom being lonely and the door is open. I know its a joke thread about seriously? I love these boards and have probably been around them longer tha most people here. yet I dont post that much and its a shame to see such a great board in the shape it is now. That is probably why so many people go to the wrestlecrap boards.

It does suck I guess, like, I want to go into more details because I feel I'm coming off as a prude, haha, and I feel I can't go into my full feelings on the topic, and I feel I have a decent opinion on the topic as I've dealt with pain and rheumatoid arthritis, and I've looked so much into the topic for help to improve my situation. I have gotten a good medication though, but it's obscenely expensive, though I have good insurance with me.

That is probably why so many people go to the wrestlecrap boards. And yet if people paid attention to the rules set forth not only by us but Proboards who owns both this board and the Wrestlecrap board, you would see that discussion that promotes illegal drugs is grounds for having the whole board shut down and deleted. We want to keep our board and if it means pissing off a few people who cannot be bothered to follow the rules set up by Proboards and agreed to by them when they made their account, so be it. This is not a difficult concept to grasp. If you want to constantly make posts supporting pot, do it elsewhere, risk any other board you want, you will not risk ours.
