When they return, Bran will have a neckbeard. So that's how he will fly!

Internet Topic: Theory- Tywin Lannister and Aegon Targaryen were half brothers, here's my reasoning...
Me: Ooooh! What an interesting topic, good reasons! That's fascinating, probably not true, but a cool little theory all the same! I wonder what other fans think of this theory, I can't wait to read their intelligent responses and counterpoints...
Dumb ass fans: Hodor, Hodor, Hodor, Hodor, Hodor, Hodor, Hodor...hyuck, we're so smart and original!
Yep, not gonna miss Hodor and Bran.

I'll miss Hodor. won't miss Bran. he's probably my least favorite viewpoint character in the books. yeah, I even prefer the smegheads from Dorne.

The only interesting character from Bran's storyline is Brynden Rivers. Problem is most of what's revealed about him comes from the Dunk and Egg prequel series. The main series tells us little to nothing about his history.
And actually, Hodor has a few moments in the novels where he makes me laugh when he just pipes in out of nowhere during a pretty serious moment. Then he became a meme and it got old really quickly.

He's there with Benjen Stark Who, of course, is really Daario Naharis. Who, in reality, is actually Rhaegar Targaryen. I guarantee you there's at least one person out there who has that as a theory.

But Rhaegar is actually Jaqen H'ghar. Who was also Syrio Forel. I have to say, while I too am eagerly awaiting the next book to come out, I get great amusement watching the theories on reddit cannibalize on themselves.

In regards to fan theories I have only one requirement to discussing them or giving them thought: If a fan creates a theory that has not been established as fact in the books or by the author, he or she must give coherent textual evidence to support it. Coherent basically meaning "Don't pull some passages out of your ass and say they make sense." Have some passages that may relate and could very easily fill in some blanks that may have been purposefully left out by the books. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}R+L=J and "Young Griff/Aegon VI= Blackfyre Pretender" being examples of theories that meet that criteria.
"Rhaegar Targaryan= Mance Rayder" does not.

"Rhaegar Targaryan= Mance Rayder" does not. Agreed. Though it is fun seeing how far some people will stretch things to try and make their own canon not sound insane. {Spoiler}Septa Lemore is secretly Ashara Dayne, for example.

I'm a bit nervous about a scene that's been pretty much confirmed for next season. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}All sources on the set have seemed to confirm that Cersei's "Penance Walk" will take place this season. This makes me nervous for one specific reason: The show has a mixed history of dealing of instances with sexual violence and humiliation towards female characters of the series. My fear is that they will portray this as the High Sparrow being in the right and being the savor who's finally given the queen regent the comeuppance she so desperately deserves instead of portraying it as I saw it and as it came off to a lot of readers who read the scene in ADWD, as the High Sparrow going on a power trip so extreme it makes us actually feel sorry for CERSEI F****** LANNISTER of all people. The women who had Lady killed, who, in the books, had all of Roberts bastards killed and made Tyrion and Margarey Tyrell's lives hell for the entire time that she's interacted with them. That chapter was written to show, like it has in many other places, that pure, callous vengeance and justice are two very different things. Cersei deserves her head separated from her shoulders for her many crimes, not to have her dignity as a human being tossed down the shitter by some pious asshole who's only in it for his own ambitions.
Problem is, considering how they've treated other instances of violence and humiliation against women in this show, I'm not ready to trust the showrunners fully to portray it the way it's supposed to be portrayed. Remember, HBO has the final say in what goes on the air for Game of Thrones. George RR Martin is merely a consultant and considering he's going to be spending the time it's taking to make season 5 at home finishing The Winds of Winter, even that role will be limited.
I hope for the best, however. I do know for a fact Lena Headey and Jonathan Pryce can make it memorable and do the scene justice. If I'm off-base and being needlessly paranoid, don't be afraid to say so.

But it does come off sympathetic and heroic at the end. That has never sat well with me. But you can never ever take away Joffery's comeuppance. Ever! People get theirs in the books and on the show. It's the circle of ice and fire

So then how will they spend the 15+/- minutes they usually spend in a season showing those guys? Season four was much better than three.
