So has Punk overtaken Edge as Cena's best rival? As far as matches, I'd say yes. Punk appears to bring out the best in Cena. But I still think Edge has the slight..well, edge...as far as storylines/characters. They compliment each other in that department.

What was the last non-tombstone piledriver in WWE? HBK on Taker at Mania 25 I think?

I really want Punk added to Rock/Cena now. They already paid for the Team Cena/Team Rock banners But you can enjoy punk on the youtube preshow. Bit of an exaggeration there, don't you think?

Nothing against TIaL - in fact, I'm lookin forward to it a bit - but I would love a Cena/Punk WM main event.

It's the best mix of an old-school, slowed down style and the more modern style of playing off audience expectations and all the wild counters and kicking out of big moves. Punk vs. Cena is the best match WWE can put on.

Yeah this match was fantastic to watch. If they don't cross paths for a while, this was a great way to end the rivalry for now.

Argh, I wish that match had ended Punk's reign instead of the omnishambles we got at the Rumble.

I hate to use the name of a TVTrope, but "Keep it Simple, Stupid" worked wonders tonight.

Never mind free TV, it'll be a long time before anything on PPV touches that.
Cena and Punk really do have chemistry on Sting/Flair levels.

Seriously, quite possibly the best match I've seen in quite some time. Easily MOTY so far.
I like how different each match of theirs has been.

THAT was an epic match that would have not only capped off their feud, but been the perfect end to Punk's reign. Should've put Rock in the Rumble and had Cena win. Yes, I wouldn't even mind the fact that Cena would hold the title again.

One thing I thought was really cool, after Punk hit that piledriver he had this worried look and did this "cut it" motion. It was like they were trying to work people into thinking Cena was injured, just for that split second, to make the nearfall that much more dramatic. That might not have been intentional but that's what I got as I saw it.

But I still think Edge has the slight..well, edge...as far as storylines/characters. They compliment each other in that department. Yeah, it's getting pretty close to level ground there. Edge has the leverage because he was Cena's first great adversary and spent a couple more years feuding off and on. Punk is far superior when it comes to match quality and the feuds definitely feel more real, in a time where most of Cena's feuds feel played out. But they still trade jabs and such and do a great job of making me give a damn, so if we get anymore after tonight, I'd probably have him surpass Edge. Batista is 3rd place.

Knew Cena was winning and it didn't bother me a damn bit. So great. I did too, but a good match like this made me forget about predetermined outcomes and I was so caught up in the moment. Best match I've seen in a lonnnnnng time.

I think I just saw The Match of the Year. Wow. What an awesome match that was.... so much from beginning to end.... told a great story in the ring without any outside theatrics, such as run-ins, broken tables and chairs. This was just two guys wrestling their asses off for nearly 40 minutes with counters throughout the match, a piledriver and a Cenacanrana. I think it was their best match against each other ever.... to me, it surpasses their Money In The Bank match from Chicago in 2011. I'm proud of both guys, as well as the WWE for not making the match melodramatic with unnecessary theatrics. That was the best televised match I've seen since the Cena and Michaels broadway classic in England from 2007.
I'm looking forward to Rock and Cena at WrestleMania XXIX, but they have their work cut out to top this. Awesome match from both guys. I'm still excited about it.
