I'm probably thinking the Cena one then. I remember HBK doing one on he steps to someone at Mania and thought it was Taker. ' Unless he did it to Taker too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0vNe6VinTwThat was the one, right down to the red and white pants. Don't know why I thought it was done to Taker.

Just got home and caught the Cena/Punk match. Wow. That should've been the Mania main event. I saw some calling it a finisher kickout fest, but they got most of the nearfalls using moves that aren't their finishers. And as much as some rag on WWE for restricting or outright banning the use of some moves, that crowd popped like they have never seen a piledriver before and it created one of the most awesome nearfalls in years.
That was incredible. As much as I have hated on CM Punk recently, now that he is out of the WWE title picture, I wish he wasn't. I love Cena, but I wish his big Wrestlemania moment could've come against a guy like Punk instead of The Rock, who'll probably be gassed after intros like every time we've seen him since his return.
But that's for another day. For tonight, thanks Punk and Cena for reminding me why i'll never stop watching this silly form of entertainment.

While the rest of Raw ranged from mediocre to just plain irritating, Cena and Punk both made up for everything with that phenomenal main event! You can't even complain about the outcome, either, since Punk is already cemented in WWE history as one of its most memorable champions, and even as a heel, he has been made out to be Cena's true equal. Hell, I'll even admit to enjoying the story of the Royal Rumble winner conquering one of his greatest foes en route to his WrestleMania title match.

It was a good match. I felt like it was technically a better match in terms of in-ring content than the one Cena and Punk had at Money in the Bank 2011, which I thought was a great match but really sloppy. What made the MITB bank so great to me, however, was not knowing if WWE would pull the trigger on Punk leaving with the title or not. Knowing the outcome tonight kind of took the tarnish off the match... there's no drama whether or not Punk can somehow pull out all the stops to beat Cena because Twice in a Lifetime has to happen.
Still, Cena and Punk work really well together, so any complaints deal more with the booking before and after the match, and not the time between bell-to-bell.

Cena/Punk is THE feud that they always wanted out of Orton/Cena. Their matches are always electric, the crowd is always on fire, and they bring out the absolute best in each other. This should have been the main event at Mania, screw The Rock.

I really want Punk added to Rock/Cena now. They already paid for the Team Cena/Team Rock banners But you can enjoy punk on the youtube preshow. "Now they bumped me from the PRESHOW?! Woo woo woo, what the hell?!"

From the Raw thread. Punk was out to prove a point tonight. There is no way in hell Rocky can have a better match than that.

I think Cena also deserves some credit here for that excellent match. I think they were both wanting to go out and make a statement, maybe more so with Punk, but Cena more than held up his end (like he has done so many times in the past)

They definitely both killed it tonight.

What was the last non-tombstone piledriver in WWE? HBK on Cena or Kennedy on Undertaker, I am guessing.

So I got around to actually watching the match (hold your pitchforks and torches)
It was very entertaining if not completely surreal, Here is my issue;
Why was this match considered so great? This is rhetorical, It was really good because for so long we've been accustomed to the slow plodding and dull nature of cena matches that when they decided to throw the playbook out the window and go all out it made it seem that much more incredible.
Don't get me wrong, It was by and far the most fun I had watching a cena match, but the fact remains the ending was too obvious and too looming for me to get into it, I liken it to having a birthday party on the side of an active volcano, Sure it's fun and everyones having a good time but you already know the things is going to explode and ruin everything.
I stress that a triple threat for the belt would have been far more entertaining and gripping storyline wise then "Twice in a lifetime"

It was a good match, but I don't think it was as great as some people are making it out to be. It had some unique counters and the match got alot of time, but some parts of the match seemed really 'ROH' like - as in, a guy would hit a move and the other guy would be up and about at nearly 100% a few seconds later.
I really disliked how Punk hit Cena with the GTS, and then literally ten seconds later Cena put Punk in the STF. Or how Punk hit a running knee that looked really viscous, and then almost immediately Cena was running the ropes hitting the five-knuckle-shuffle.

It was very good match no doubt but the main reason people are going nuts for it was it meant something thus the crowd was into it more making the make even better. If you had the same match with nothing on the line with a bad crowd it would felt like a normal good PPV match.
Also matches like this are why I laugh at the people who claim everything that is predicable sucks.

Cena vs Punk: The Final Chapter surely has to close out WrestleMania 30. These two HAVE to face each other at Mania in some respect.

I guess I'm too cynical at this point, but knowing Cena was gonna win ruined me getting into it. I guess I can only care about a match if there's actual doubt at the outcome.
