First rounds of TOD 13 confirmed:

A pretty great line up this year. I'm looking forward to seeing who wins.

Results from last night
Results are courtesy of PWPonderings who obviously was pretty impressed or is a bigger CZW fanboy than me. Didn't see the show, but based on reactions online the Dayton crowd loved the show and the arena owners were thrilled as well.

Lollin at the guy using a different positive adjective to describe every single match Yeah thus I made sure to credit him. Shoe seems to be getting a lot of good feed back (especially the 3 tag matches) but that's the first time I've ever heard a Sozio match get a good review

It's not a guy. It's a girl.
My first CZW show live and I was very impressed so I made sure to convey that. I didn't start watching CZW until late last year. I'm more of a casual fan of theirs as it is. It was good, worth a purchase when the DVD comes out in my opinion.

So all pre sale tickets for Tournament of Death are sold out. Listening to what people are saying this is going to be a BIG money maker for DJ and CZW this year. Which is funny cause last year DJ was considering stopping TOD because it wasn't the money maker it had been (they still made money, but it hadn't been enough to justify how much he was spending)
Oh and Shane Strickland just completed his first tour of Mexico with DTU

Any new notes from the interview Deej did on the Uncle Mike & Tom Show? Haven't had a chance to listen yet.

Any new notes from the interview Deej did on the Uncle Mike & Tom Show? Haven't had a chance to listen yet. Chilanga Mask is now part of the partnership with CZW, Big Japan, and WXW. Aero Boy has told DJ that one of his dreams was to compete in TOD and CZW is a reason why he became a wrestler. A bunch of Mexican press will be coming up to Deleware for TOD. Masada moved back to Texas as he was offered good money to run the RCW school. He's still under contract with CZW so they'll find a way to make it work, but Masada may not be as frequent in CZW. Jun Kasai is the one guy that DJ wanted for TOD from Big Japan. There were a few other guys he tried to get but scheduling was an issue. Tickets at the door for TOD are $25 and the event is BYOB. Felt the Dayton show was one of the best shows of the year. Felt the Women's tag match was one of the best matches he's seen. Said everybody was happy with how the show went. Will be more products for sale from CZW, but won't say what they are until it's all ready. The next Dayton show will more than likely be Deja Vu. Wants to go back to Providence. Says the Fete is the perfect place for CZW and hopes Beyond Wrestling can make it happen. Though admitted the lady that runs the Fete is a pain in the ass to deal with. Hypes up Biff Busick (like he has been doing for over a year). Compares Biff to a young Claudio Castagnoli (who ironically, suggested Biff to Deej). Biff didn't get the title in Providence because he didn't need the hometown rub, and they gave that moment to JT Dunn. Biff also has been getting a lot more calls since winning. Understands why the crowd didn't like switching the 4-way last month, but it has a long term plan in place that was made on the fly since Masada wasn't there. Might not like the decision in the moment, but sometimes you plant a seed to watch a tree grow. Calls JT Dunn and David Starr the future of the business. Compares David Starr to fellow CZW Academy Graduate Adam Cole. Has tried to bring Trevor Lee to CZW twice but the scheduling always was an issue (was going to be in BOTB), but he'll probably be in CZW soon. Very Happy with Drew Gulak's title reign. Represents CZW better than anybody in the company. CZW has been very lucky this year by hitting the ground running with good shows. Wants to get the house up and travel more. Has been scouting Buxx Belmar and Mike Bailey for over a year. Right place right time. Jon Gresham will be returning at the next Skate Zone show. There will be a lot more new faces the 2nd half of the year. Dojo Wars is his and Drew Gulak's creation. It's giving their students/younger wrestlers experience against vets. Talks about Brittany Blake, Connor Claxton, and Frankie Picard as guys who get more experience there. Basically CZW's version of NXT. They also have a web series called Rookie Chronicles following Picard and Claxton. Talked a bit about things you can and can't get away with in different states. The Flyers have told them no a few times. Loves working the Skate Zone. Said ambiance and beer sale is a bit of a downer, but good food and AC help a lot (plus parking is better). Venue is going to be spiced up more and the Skate Zone will look even better. CZW, WXW, South Side, and Tidal Wave Wrestling are working together in Europe in October. This has been going on for 5 years, but the following in Europe is huge. Finalizing CZW tours of Japan and Mexico. Last year CZW's show in Germany almost matched the 16K Tourney. CZW's August Date was moved due to Japan dates, but could be moved again due to scheduling conflicts with the people who do their Tangled Web. Could be pushed to October Not really the most interesting DJ interview, but not bad.

His comments on the 4 way dont make sense. Why not just have Biff go over Gulak and have Dickinson be a nonfactor instead of literally walking him to the ring, getting everybodys hopes up, and then sending him back

I'm looking forward to seeing who wins. I am also looking forward to this year's TOD, largely because I am not too familiar with the BJW wrestlers, but remember being very impressed with Numazawa and Takeda from the previous TOD they both appeared at. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but that was also an incredibly safe show for one built around deathmatch wrestling: No wrestler required so much as a single stitch after all the matches were over (All of the cuts that were sustained were minor and superficial).
