There's no doubt that his legacy in wrestling has been cemented. ;D I was in need of a good laugh, so thank you. ...Oh my god, that was so not intentional.

Wow, my brother told me and I just felt sad. Never knew him personally, but he was a big part of the WWE and Undertaker's character. I guess it's so devastating because it's so sudden. And it wouldn't shock me if they do have a tribute for him on RAW, or Taker bows down to a urn laying in the ring after WrestleMania. Or they put him in the Hall of Fame this year.
Either way, this was truly shocking and he will be missed. RIP.

Considering the man's gimmick, and how many times he "died" on screen, it didn't even register to me when I saw "Paul Bear has died" that the real man behind the character was actually gone. I just figured he got murdered by CM Punk on Smackdown or something.
What a weird week. Lots of iconic genre characters have died within the last seven days: Damian Wayne, JR Ewing, and now Paul Bearer. Of course, the latter two had real men behind the characters. I'm not a religious man, nor do I believe in offering condolences on a message board. So I'll just say that I'll miss seeing him on my television, and it's a big loss to both the Undertaker and Kane characters.

Amazing manager, and from all reports a super nice guy. There was someone on here who told a really great story years ago about their grandmother passing, and Moody's funeral home doing the arrangements, and mentioning how it was kind of comforting that Paul Bearer was overseeing the funeral. Absolutely agree there'll be a tribute Monday. Maybe Undertaker saluting an Urn in the middle of the ring before picking it up and leaving with it? As far as Punk using it for cheap heat? Who knows. I imagine Paul would have been okay with it, so it really just depends on if Punk and Undertaker are okay with doing so. I think I would be just as pissed as I was when Cole brought up Jerry's dead mother and when Punk made fun of Jerry for having a heart attack. I think I would do the same hashtag too if that happened.

Wow, this is really sudden. I always loved Paul Bearer. His look, voice and style was always so iconic. This really sucks. R.I.P.

Given that at some point, I think he was 550+ pounds, maybe 58 was more time than he may have thought he had. He lost so much weight, but that takes such a toll on your body, even after it is gone.

I hope Undertaker references him next week, presuming he speaks on Raw. You know, while it's a shame either way that he passed so young, why couldn't it have been after he got to give his HOF speech? After he got to come down to the ring one last time with Taker at WM30? After he was able to talk about his career in the eventual Undertaker bio that is right around the corner, probably?
Urgh...I just hate that he never got to give those final thoughts. He deserved that swan song.

They were genuinely close, not just on-screen.

I always thought it would be great to use this music after Undertaker's final match. And I always imagined Paul Bearer would be involved in that angle, even if it was only a cameo.

An absolute shame. There's never going to be another one like him. My thoughts are with Mr. Moody's entire family, friends, and fans.
I am really going to miss that man. Rest In Peace. *rings gong*

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but given the man's weight, it's far from a shocker to me. Even more so considering his age at this point. As much as I loved Bearer, I always was fearful for the man's health.
It's sad to see him go though, losing yet another piece of my childhood.

RIP. I won't be surprised if both Taker and Kane acknowledge him on the next RAW or something.

It wouldn't shock me if at WrestleMania they have Taker put an urn down on the ring and do his pose after he wins against Punk in front of the urn.
Synonymously bowing down to Paul Bearer who would be holding the urn for him if he was there.

I saw Brad post about this in Forum Games and I couldn't believe it. I'm still in shock as I type this. Rest in peace, Paul. Thank you for every moment you gave us as fans, whether we were cheering you or booing you.
Small story that's not really directly related to the man himself: I had a serious throat illness around this time last year, and it got to the point where I couldn't speak or even drink water. After I started on antibiotics, the inflammation began to go down, and I used my Paul Bearer impression as a benchmark for my recovery. The first time I was able to belt out a full-blown "OOOOOH YEEESSSSS!", I knew I was okay. It's not a personal story about him, but I just smile every time I think of it. It's something I'll remember for quite some time, and the fact that the man who made that possible is gone breaks my heart.
RIP. You will be missed.
