Song submitted. Thinking/hoping it will do well. Was really excited about one pick, only to find out it has already been used. ( Shaddup your face by Joe Dolce)

~OMITTED~ ...I suspect this was of no help to you Cage, but don't particularly care. {Spoiler}Disregard that. Realized it was a Swedish band that sang it and didn't want to ruin anyone's choice. If anyone truly cares about the stupid comment, just pm and I'll say what it was.

4 out of 16 songs already sent. Wow.
Brad, it was a tough decision but I think you went the right route. I like the Monkees and their legit music is fantastic but you might have to deal with overplay with the original.
We the Spartans!!!, that's the kind of pick I was hoping to see in this round.
Cage, curious to see what you pick. You have a big heart, just have to figure out which song to go with, lol.
fw91, stunning last round, might be THE pick so far in the game. So, keep it up.

I should of submitted the Monkees version of the song but honestly I think the Smash Mouth version sounded better again just my opinion. Also, The Monkees are from England, so it wouldn't have worked.

Normally I'm quite quick with picks, but this one is going to take some thought as I have a lot of ideas in my brain, depends on how risky I want to be...

Stinger, Davy Jones was the only British musician from the Monkees, as the rest are/were American. That does raise something that didn't come up: for a band to count in terms of nationality, the majority of the band must be from that country or, at the very least, the singer or main musician must hail from there.

Yeah, that's true, I just always think of them as British because Davy was the most prominent member.

So I was right they are a US Band I knew Davy was English and the rest where American so I assumed they were an American band and I was right I guess.

What about AC/DC? They have always been considered to be an Aussie band but all of them were from England or Scotland, only the drummer was from Australia.

PICK SENT! If Anyone is interested/curious, please hit me up, because I feel like I just hit a jackpot with this pick, and to be honest it was nowhere NEAR my original pick(s), but I feel confident in this

Like how everyone is so sure of themselves. Thankfully I got my 5 point cushion even though, I think my pick is strong anyway

What about AC/DC? They have always been considered to be an Aussie band but all of them were from England or Scotland, only the drummer was from Australia. It's a hard distinction to make. If they have one member and spent a large portion in that country then it could be that we let it slide. I'm getting a lot of questions in regard to very fine distinctions about nationality. I appreciate that because it means you care and want to follow the rules. My advice is not to worry about it too much. There doesn't need to be a set amount of members in a band from that country, for one thing. Ultimately, the round was designed (purposely after following the last one) so contestants can select from a broad range of artists out in the larger world. There's a huge body of artists to choose from; the idea was to take away the safety net of American/English artists. That said, if you want my advice, I'd go for it and try to diversify a bit. Asian, African, Australian, Eastern Europe, South American... there's so much out there that I'd love to see a lot of different countries being represented that you know would have zero chance appearing in other rounds. I can't speak for the judges, but that's what I would appreciate seeing. I'm not asking for any choices to be changed or anything like that because you guys deserve to play this however you choose but this is the round to really go wild and pick something outside the box.

The love for social distortion and the disdain for Marchbox 20 puzzles me.

Wow, pegasuswarrior liked my pick. That's new. Although he still ranked it last so all is right in the World. ;D And man, I feel like I owe fw91 one considering my pick only ranked 6th overall. Oh well, I still think it's a better pick than what I originally had in mind, it would probably have ended up last.

Chose my song. I think Orange won't like it because he hates my music. And puppies, kittens, love and peace.
