we've also found out how Adam Cole rose to the top so fast in ROHFunny I picture Cole kissing another part of the body to get ahead. And this is Mandy Leon.

Just because he's in Chikara and the others aren't doesn't mean he's better than them The fact that Tim Donst is a pretty damn good wrestler probably does mean he was the best in that match. He doesn't need to be on a Future of Honour show. He could realistically slot into the midcard of RoH right now. Exactly. I'm not trying to knock those other guys but Donst is a grand talent that already has a bigger following than some of the people ROH has signed and shoved down people's throats. Sticking him in a meaningless 6 man on a school show that'll be dropped and ignored like everything else that ROH does with their school is insanity to me.

1: reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) b. Andrew Everett & Cedric Alexander with Chasing the Dragon on Everett
2: Michael Elgin b. AJ Styles with the Revolution Bomb {Spoiler}don't know if i agree with Cole winning Defy or Deny. this is the third one they've had and the third time the champ has won, but unlike the other two this time the champ is up against guys not in the title hunt and aren't main eventers (at the moment).
- DoD I had Roderick Strong against El Generico (fresh off his feud with Steen), Homicide (recently returned to ROH), and Jay Briscoe (a main eventer)
- DoD II had Kevin Steen against Eddie Edwards (a former champ), Roderick Strong (a former champ), and Michael Elgin (a couple months removed from their MOTY candidate at Glory by Honor XII)
- DoD III is Cole against Mark Briscoe (who's been a midcard singles wrestler while Jay chased the title), Jimmy Jacobs (who's been in a midcard feud with The Decade against Cedric Alexander), and Matt Taven (a midcarder feuding for the TV title). there was nothing to gain by having Cole go over, but could have created an interesting situation if one of the other two won. unlike the challengers in the first two DoD matches, who mostly had a semi-legitimate chance of winning the title when they previously faced the champ, here they did not. Mark challenged Cole in his first title defense, so it was obvious Cole was going to retain, and when Taven challenged him its was really a filler of title match so they could have one on the card and also so Cole could finally get his victory over him. Jacobs on the other hand is the first person in a Defy or Deny match that hasn't previously challenged the champ for the title.

{Spoiler}Man, they sure don't want Taven wrestling, huh. First he gets bumped off SOH, and now this. Can't say I'm complaining though. But it seems like a waste to book him at all if they're not even really using him. Plus we really need something new in the TV title picture. I honestly don't know why they took the belt of Ciampa in the first place.

It was part of his whole redemption angle.

They'll probably defend against the Briscoes, War Machine, or some combo of the Decade.

They'll probably defend against the Briscoes, War Machine, or some combo of the Decade. I was thinking War Machine. I mean you know they aren't going to win but being able to hang with the IWGP Tag Champs would mean more than anything else ROH could do for them right now. Briscoes not being in the World Title scene though seems more likely for a card of this magnitude.

Okay, strange question that just popped in my head, after Gallows works the ROH iPPV, will he become the first to work WWE, ROH and TNA PPVs? I know I am stretching to some by using iPPV but, hey, it is my question. Only other name I think could have done it would be Flair but I cannot remember if ROH was doing iPPVs during Flair's brief run.

Jerry Lynn has an impressive list where the only feather missing from his cap is a WWF PPV (and I know he's seen at the Invasion PPV); he's been on an ROH IPPV, WCW, ECW, TNA, WWA ppvs.

Damn, never would have thought about Sydal. Then again I had no clue he had a single match in TNA.
In happy news, Kevin Steen and his wife welcomed their second child into the world earlier today.

Good catch And I was legit surprised Lynn never wrestled a WWE PPV. I even looked it up. Thought he would have defended the Light Heavyweight title or something.

she was born yesterday. it was the ending to the Weekend Escapades
and upon further research Joey Matthews/Joey Mercury actually was the first:
TNA weekly pay-per-view #57 (8/6/03) - Joey Matthews vs. Danny Doring vs. Michael Shane vs. Shark Boy
WWE "Judgment Day 2005" (5/22/05) - Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury vs. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas
ROH "Take No Prisoners" (3/16/08 - aired 5/30/08) - Joey Matthews & Necro Butcher vs. Briscoe Brothers
