I'm not going to pile on Rock until we know for sure WHY he isn't there, but man, if he just bailed on them...
Screw Cena burying him. Let Punk do it.

A little too early to form any opinions, but this will certainly be an interesting show. This thread says otherwise heh It wouldn't be a wrestling forum without immediate reactions based on little information and no confirmed facts! I'm not saying this won't all turn out to be true, but with such a vague story what can be said without the possibility of having to take back what you'd said? This is a time when a "wait and see" attitude is for the best.

This could have also explained the strangeness of last night. Maybe Rock told them he was done just before the show, and they had to redo everything. Trips now goes over Lesnar to set up a 3rd match between them, while the WWE tries to figure out Lesnar's feud for Mania. That could also be why Cena kicked out of so damn much last night. the WWE was pissed about Rock doing this. And wasn't Rock just announced as the cover guy for WWE 2K14? he'll still be on the cover. his face will just be photoshopped crudely over Wade Barrett tapping to Miz' terrible figure four.

So the guy with part-time celebrity deal goes home, causing a panic and forcing a rewrite of the whole show, which was built around a year-in-the-making angle with another guy on a part-time celebrity deal.
Note to WWE: try building your shows and major angles around the guys who are around all the time. It worked pretty well for you in the past.

I'm seeing on Twitter some people are saying no one from WWE told Rock he was expected to be there tonight

I hope they bury Rock a la Stan Kroenke. At the least I want a Rock midget to get an AA.

I think it would be for the best (if this is true), for them to just get Cena to thank Rock for last night and be done with it. Not another word is said about him on TV unless they work something out for him to return to WWE programming. I'm seeing on Twitter some people are saying no one from WWE told Rock he was expected to be there tonight Assuming that's correct, if I was Rock...I'd hang around for the post-Mania RAW simply because I was in the main event last night. Surely common sense would tell him that he would be required on the show? Rock isn't stupid I don't think, so that can't be it.

He looked pissed off last night, people in the threads thought somebody died just because of how bizarre that match went. He came back to put over Cena. I'm thinking he wasn't happy with how everything went, or something didn't go as he wished during the match, maybe an argument between him and Vince. It was a dumb ending to begin with. After all that trash-talking for 2 years just to have them go "Thank you" "No, thank you" is just boring. Honestly, if this is true and Rock did walk out, I wouldn't necessarily blame him and would love to hear his side of the story.

"The Rock took his ball and went home" Honestly, that's what this (ironically) reminds me of. Austin saw a company without any direction, who would throw away his putting over Brock Lesnar on a random Raw (that being the last straw after several months of boneheaded decisions). So he got fed up and left. Plus, just a few months earlier, Foley quit because he was disgusted by the awful creative direction of the Invasion. Rock probably had no problem putting over Cena, but hated that it was done in a way that didn't benefit him or the product in any logical manner.

They would be so stupid to bury him. Hello, hes a future Hall of Famer. He will headline that HoF and get them great publicity when that day finally comes.
Be happy he agreed to put over an undeserving Cena, and let it be.

Potentially, they maybe tried to get the Rock to do something he really didnt like, expecting him to do cause they're the WWE. Forgetting that the Rock is big Hollywood actor who doesnt need the WWE.
But until we know more its guess work.

Rocks post match antics last night were of a guy who just had his last match and was enjoying one last moment. The interaction with Cena, kisses to his family and his facial expressions suggested that he was done.

Maybe he didn't like the idea of being made to be Brock's bitch the night after Mania?

honestly, at risk of sounding like Jim Hellwig here, in this day and age nobody's going to do anything for you unless you show them the money first. he's under no obligation to show up for free. he's a hollywood actor, WWE should know that.

Getting flashbacks of Stone Cold walking out in 2002, but for obviously different reasons.

They would have paid him way in advance for any appearances required so that can't be it. Rock isn't the type to just walk, so someone must have really done something to piss him off.
