Sigh, how I long for the days back when they had separate brand PPVs and all of that. Probably never happening again, or at least not until WWE gets a sudden huge boost in the star power of its roster.

So, who thinks they'll unify the WWE and World titles now that the brand split is officially over?

See, I don't miss the branded PPVs so much, but I do miss Smackdown being an entirely separate show from Raw, and having a reason to watch both rather than just Raw.

I wonder if this means that John Cena or CM Punk will start making more than the occasional appearance on SmackDown.

I think it's doable, if they put some effort in. Have the WWE champion tour with one group, and have the biggest non-title feud headline the other group.

So, who thinks they'll unify the WWE and World titles now that the brand split is officially over? kinda get the feeling they'll keep both. WWE will be officially the top belt (cause WWE is a universe compared to one measly world for the World title). World Title will be what the IC title used to be- the see-sawing main eventer's title that aren;t feuding for the WWE title and test run for would-be future full time main eventers. IC and US will strictly cater to the midcard/upper midcard as they have been for stepping stones to build new people up and mostly fodder to feed to the folk concerned with the top two belts like it pretty much has been at this point.

I'm trying to think if a single thing in my signature is even relevant anymore.

I'll miss having Smackdown feel special with its own championships and storylines. I will say that I'll be pleased to know that if a house show ever comes back to Halifax, I know I'll have a possibility of seeing anyone on the roster rather than those that are attached to a specific brand.

Until half the roster is fired and two of the singles championships are abolished, the brand split is still active.
What is happening is that the WWE is just marketing its live events differently

It only ends when Cena starts appearing on Smackdown everyweek.

I actually liked the idea of shows being seperate and giving you different reasons to watch. Sure helped that, when Raw was poor in quality, SmackDown was usually on fire.
Even if the events will just be "WWE Live", they'd still divide the tours based on who would be the marquee guy (i.e. "John Cena Tour" or "Randy Orton/Sheamus Tour").

I really wish wwe would just put raw back at 2 hours and enforce the brand split. Smackdown does have starpower. I guess it all depends on who we view as stars. Why can't raw and smackdown have their own separate storylines/feuds. I remember when smackdown "invaded" raw. That was cool. Even though raw gets better ratings smackdown on more than several occasions has been more entertaining. Who's the head writer for Smackdown. That guy that used to be with the great khali that looks like timon from the lion king?
