I know he's at risk for a third strike, but honestly would anyone really care if he was wellnessed as World Heavyweight Champion? I think too big a deal is made of that. It wouldn't really matter. If he's wellnessed for the 3rd time, it will probably get minor news coverage whether he's champion or not so they shouldn't worry about it if they actually want to use him. I think it's more on creative. Randy is one of the seemingly endless list of guys are are just there doing stuff for no rhyme or reason. If I had to guess, I'd say ever since Jeff Hardy, WWE has decided to just blacklist anyone with 2 strikes from anything major since it's probably easier than risking it. If Randy Orton's lack of a feud is because of that, it's not really anyone else's fault but his own.

You'd be bored too if they'd done nothing of note with you for over a year after keeping you in a main event spot for a while.
It annoys me. I like Randy Orton, he just has a cool-factor to him, a guy who'll just go in there and beat you without needing to create too much fanfare beforehand. That, and he's a good wrestler too. Ugh...do something with this guy, WWE.

It probably doesn't help that they've stripped away all of his character. He's in a sort of perpetual upper midcard void, no character to utilise, no feuds to build on, nothing to say, nothing to do, never moving up nor down, just...there. As much as Randy screwed up with the wellness failures, this is all on creative for me. Give him a gimmick and he'll work with it. Give him nothing and he'll do nothing. Agreed. He has a lot of natural charisma, but WWE can't seem to capitalize on it to make him interesting.

In the attitude era, this is when we'd see Randy Orton jump ship to WCW to rejuvenate his career and become interesting again.
Now, he's stuck being the same because he appeals to the women and casual fans, and he sells a lot of t-shirts. "If it ain't broke ($$$), don't fix it." He'll go heel again soon enough, but when he does, how different is it really going to be? Will he wear ring trunks that have pink tribal designs, now? Will he be a dick again? We've seen it. He has to reinvent himself more than that or take a few years off to be interesting again.
That's one of my biggest problems nowadays. People don't leave, and TNA isn't big enough to be worth hurting your relationship with WWE. It makes it hard for guys to move up the card when Creative always has to write stories for guys like Big Show, Randy Orton, Cena, and whomever else has overstayed their welcome. If Orton would've left after that Wade Barrett storyline from late 2011, and then they wrote an angle for him to return at SummerSlam this year, it'd be exciting to see him again, and it would've given another guy a spot in the meantime. But now, it's like...what's he going to do? He's done it.
People really need to model their twilight careers after Chris Jericho.

He sucks as face. He used to be THE man, the guy who look legit crazy..now he's just Randy "Same Old" Orton.
Give him a turn, a real deep backstagee promo with a guy like JR(those old couch promos) about what's going on inside his head and have him play the true sadistic ass kicker, just like was.

They refuse to do anything with him (I suppose due to the wellness violations) so he's just...there. You can't really blame him for looking apathetic and going through the motions every week, what could he possibly make out of what he currently has? He has nothing to go off of.

Randy's been openly talking about wanting to turn heel for what seems like two years now.
He obviously hates being a babyface, and it shows.

I wish I could remember who mentioned that Orton's gimmick at this point is basically that of an Affliction t-shirt that has become sentient.

Randy's character has become so dry and boring.
His deal is that he is a psycho who hears voices in his head, but hasn't really lashed out at anyone in seemingly years. He needs a heel turn more than anyone on the roster.

Orton should just hack into the production truck and JNN bomb everyone's promos and matches.

I don't blame him. He accomplished almost everything. He is one of the better wrestlers in the ring and usually has the best match of the night on Raw in a heatless midcard bout for the past two years. He's over and has tons of charisma. You either give him a entertaining feud with heat as a babyface or turn him heel.

Randy Orton would be F'n HUGE for TNA. Have him come in as the Vice President of Aces and 8's. Bully Ray would have Randy Orton working under him. That would elevate Bully Ray to true Main Event status. TNA would immediately have 2 main eventers for the price of a very expensive 1.

I think it has a lot more to do with having to scramble and rebook everything if the WHC gets suspended than being worried about the media coverage. Also, since he does seem so unmotivated, why would you give him a title? He's over as hell and a great wrestler, but that sends a terrible message to the dressing room if someone on auto-pilot wins the WHC. The belt has lost value but it's still a really good spot, main eventing house shows/Smackdown.

He hasn't had anything important or exciting to do in ages. He has though become very good this year at getting the crowd fired up during a match. As much as he wants to turn heel it won't happen as long as he's still one of the most over faces.

He bores me more than he's bored of WWE. I just don't get why he is so beloved. I keep hearing how good he is, but his Five Moves of Doom are even worse than Cena's: stiff clothes line, opponent charges and he ducks (you think someone would realize it now), then scoop slam, the DDT off the rope with the stupid expression, fists on the mat, RKO. Wash, rinse, repeat. And if any of those moves get countered, he goes right back in the same order to where it was stopped. He's just one of those guys who makes me cringe when I hear his music. While I hate the term "Five Moves of Doom", I agree with this. Ortons move order in matches is 1000x more predictable than Cenas, and it bugs me because the former is treated as being on perpetual auto-pilot whereas the latter is called unpredictable and innovative. An experiment: Watch a Randy Orton match blindfolded (with the tv on mute) and predict what moves he'll hit, and in what order. If you've seen more than 3 of his matches you should score at least 90% on this test.

When you accomplish almost everything possible in the wwe by the age of 30, it gets hard to motivate yourself. Yup and unfortunately he likely won't be going anywhere anytime son, which is a shame because a change of scenery may do Mr. Orton some good.

He's always been boring. People used to refer to him as Randy Boreton or Blandy Orton for a long time. It wasn't until he formed Legacy that he started doing something interesting. Then they did what they always do when a heel becomes interesting: turn him face and take away the things that made him interesting.
