One suggestion I have regarding a loose end that could be used to continue the story: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Bobby Dagen.
He is the only person to be tested, and fail, yet still be alive afterwards. What's to stop him maybe going after any associates of Jigsaw, i.e. Dr Gordon, having lost EVERYTHING as a result of what happened to him? I'm not saying there's much there, but it is a loose end that was never really tied up.

{Spoiler}Dagen was badly wounded but still alive. I'd wager he probably survived, as his wounds would be survival if he got medical attention shortly afterwards.

I've been wondering, with next year being the first movie's 10th anniversary if we'll either get a new sequel, a reboot or a re-release of the first movie in theaters? I have a hard time imagining Lion's Gate won't do anything to celebrate the occasion, given it's such a seminal series of 2000s-era Horror.

Maybe a collection of all the Saw movies with exclusive content?
And I'm not sure I want a reboot unless James Wan runs the show. It systematically got worse once he left and took a hands off approach to the sequels and the bottom finally gave out in the last one.

I've just looked it up, and for a combined cost of $64m the films made nearly $900m. That's incredible. Given that, I'm honestly shocked that they haven't already done an eighth one.

An eighth one has been rumored, maybe it'll happen at some point.

I still believe the biggest and dumbest thing the writers for Saw ever did was {Spoiler}killing off Matthews, Jeff, and Strahm . There's absolutely no way it should've happened, or rather if it happened, it shouldn't have been that quick or anti-climatic. {Spoiler}It would've been nice to possibly have Matthews and Strahm team up in trying to take down Hoffman.

From what I heard, {Spoiler}Donnie Wahlberg wanted Eric killed off in Saw III and didn't even want to return for 4.
I agree he didn't deserve to die though, neither did Strahm.

{Spoiler}Yes, that is true. They actually did film the scene where Amanda killed him by stabbing him in the neck and slashing his throat. But given the positive fan reaction that Donnie received, they brought him back for the 4th film. {Spoiler}If they do an eighth one they need to show what happened to Daniel and show a little backstory on Strahm as well. I was so pissed when Strahm was killed off. He was truly the best, most interesting, and badass character in the Saw story.

{Spoiler}Yeah, I think Strahm died too soon. I don't know why he was killed as early as he was, he deserved to last longer.
I hope we see what became of Daniel as well. If they make an eighth chapter it'd be good to make him the lead character or at least a very important and central character in it.

You know what I'm also surprised hasn't been done for the series? One of those extensive retrospective documentaries, similar to what Halloween, Friday The 13th, A Nightmare On Elm Street and Scream have gotten. Perhaps we might get it next year for the 10th anniversary? Would certainly be nice.

The sixth was the worst.
By far.
One was great, the fact that they used so little gore was a plus, the second one was already a big step down, too much of a shift to splatter, 3 and 4 had conflicting morals, V was a big improvement, six was bizarre, suddenly it's a referendum on the health care system?
Pass.
The last one at least had some interesting ideas.

I can understand why some might not like the sixth given the more political slant it took with the healthcare angle, but I thought it was something clever and gave it some real-world relevance. It was like "what would Jigsaw do with healthcare CEOs?"

It was like "what would Jigsaw do with healthcare CEOs?" Jigsaw's whole philosophy is that to appreciate life, you have to appreciate the life of not just yourself, but other people. His thought is that this CEO didn't do that and that the healthcare system as a whole in this country doesn't do that. It was a political addition to the series no doubt, but I always thought that it still fit the theme of the series. I didn't have an issue with it for that reason.
