1 2 6 3 5 4 7 The First 3 are great mostly because of {Spoiler}{Spoiler}the relationship between Amanda and JigSaw who IMO at times upstaged Jigsaw most notably of course in the 3rd movie. and then it goes spinning out of controll losing site in 4-5 and then gets back on course in 6 which feels most like a sequel to the first 3....and then there is 7 ust gastly unspeakable terror right there

The thing about 7 to me is you'd think they'd take a series finale to such a long-running series much more seriously than they did and they completely half-assed it.

I will say though despite 7's issues, it's made much better when watched together with 6. Just view it as an epilogue if 6 is the grand finale.

The only thing I really liked that 7 was the nice montage after the supposed swerve at the very end, you know the swerve which was given away during the opening credits. That still pisses me off.

7 just felt very rushed and lazy. It was like the studio just wanted to get it out of the way and not take their time with it.

I don't mind 4 and 5, but 7 felt very lazy and haphazardly put together.

7 felt very lazy and haphazardly put together. I think that's an understatement. After seeing the major spoiler given away during the opening credits I was strongly considering literally walking about of film less than a minute into it.

I find it intereting the director of 7 didn't even record a commentary for it and was vocal about not wanting to direct it. That should speak for itself.

I find it intereting the director of 7 didn't even record a commentary for it and was vocal about not wanting to direct it. That should speak for itself. The director was actually going to helm the Paranormal Activity sequel that was being released during the same year. Lionsgate more or less exercised his contract, thus forcing him to direct the Saw sequel, and as you already stated, he wasn't very happy about it which resulted in him rushing into production and cramming in concepts that originally were supposed to be in Saw 8. Lionsgate was very upset that Paranormal Activity at the time grossed more than Saw 6. I've always felt that Saw 1-3 should've been end of the trilogy for a while and have it return in about two years, thus giving the audience a break from the franchise, and allowing the writers/producers to craft a more intricate suspenseful story. The end of Saw 3 had great potential with Jeff attempting to find his daughter, possibly running into Strahm along the way, and Eric Matthew's fate would've made for great Saw sequels. Saw 4 could've focused on Jeff's game, have him run into Strahm along the way, and both could've worked together or Jeff could've died while saving his daughter. Saw 5 would've stayed the same without {Spoiler}Strahm dying. That was possibly the dumbest, most face palming decision, and honestly I was pretty upset that they killed off a great character. Saw 6- Could've been the continuing of Hoffman evading police capture while say {Spoiler}a surviving Eric attempts to bring him down. Eric and Strahm could've worked together in this sequel. Now with the twist ending, I remember reading a while back, that originally it was supposed to end with Hoffman dying and him looking at a picture with his final words "It's in your hands now." The picture revealed Dr. Gordon. Saw 7- Could've been the final chapter for sure and that could've focused on Strahm and Eric in a deadly game against Gordon.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I HATED that they killed Jill in 7 for so many reasons but the biggest one being I love the thought of everything coming full circle with her as losing the baby is what started Jigsaw down his path , it started everything.

I just disliked the way in which she was almost reduced to a damsel in distress in 7. I liked that Jill was strong, intelligent woman and wasn't typical horror movie fodder. Then she spends Saw 7 on the run from Hoffman. Admittedly she did try to kill him, what did she expect? But it's never sat well with me. Whatever abyone's thoughts on the series as a whole, Charlie Clouser's "Hello Zepp" and all it's variations is for me, still one of the greatest movie themes ever.

It's been a while since I've watched Saw 7.But how exactly did Hoffman manage to slip into a bodybag in the first place? Did no one think to check it before it got to the morgue with the medical examiner? lol

7 explained it and showed it in a quick flashback. {Spoiler}The explosion at the junkyard distracted the police at the scene and he swapped out one of the bagged corpses before sneaking inside it.
