I guess at the time PA was still something relatively new and fresh for most audiences and they wanted more from it, whereas Saw had been going on for half a decade.

It's almost October. Anyone else planning on an all-day Saw marathon for the month? I always have a day set aside every October for an all-day marathon.

I'm not gonna do an all day one, but I'm probably going to space them out over a couple of days in October since most of the series is in my regular rotation of movies. That and I really hate the final one.

It's fun to watch them all in one day provided you get up early and set the day aside with no other plans. That and a couple of hours after to spare since you'll definitely want to go out for a short walk to get some fresh air after spending the day watching them.

Matthews is one of my favorite characters in the saga, too. {Spoiler}Was quite bummed and shocked when he died in 4, though at least he had quite a spectacular finish.

My ideal Saw 5 scenario involved him surviving the final game, he eventually teams up with Strahm to try and take down Hoffman. I was disappointed that Matthews never seemed to wonder about Daniel during his captivity.

{Spoiler}He probably assumed Daniel died and was tormented by that thought during his final moments.

{Spoiler}I remember he was originally supposed to die in Saw III by Amanda stabbing him in the throat, but it got deleted. I remember a couple of stills actually surfaced from the scene, too.

I found this in YouTube and it's quite interesting, at least to me. It shows how they made the ice block trap.

Saw that on the DVD. It's always cool seeing how they made the traps work. Some of them were genuinely dangerous to work with.

I remember in one of the films, they didn't use any CGI or effects for the transitions through rooms, and they were done in real time on set, so one of the actresses had to run out of one set, throw her clothes off, and then jump into a bathtub in another set in the space of about 20 seconds

I watched 1 through 4 during October and I noticed a continuation goof.......I didn't see the clock on the bathroom wall in 2 or 3, but since the only scenes in 3 with the bathroom was super dark it is possible it's there
and I'm guessing 7 didn't have it since 7 trash
