Question because I'm thinking about getting the first set on DVD: Has anyone seen "Lagrange?"

Question because I'm thinking about getting the first set on DVD: Has anyone seen "Lagrange?" Haven't seen it but heard it was kind of "meh". Okay to watch but not really anything super great.

So I added two more series to the list of series I am watching from this current summer season(for reminder, the previous three were Genshiken Second Season, Servant x Service, and Dog & Scissors). Those two are Sunday Without God and Stella Women's Academy. Both of them are so far pretty great shows. Honestly, despite the love Attack on Titan got early on in its run(which it deserved, cause it was awesome), in hindsight, the spring season this year wasn't that great. It had a few shows I enjoyed, sure, but this summer season is kicking its ass right now, imo. Anyways, back to SWG and SWA. Sunday Without God is, like Glitch said in his summer season picks article, about a world where God more or less said, "Welp, I failed, see ya later!" and left the world and took death with him. No one can be born or die, and the only way to put the dead down for good is for them to be buried by Gravekeepers, a mysterious group of people that appeared after God left, and the story follows Ai, a young Gravekeeper as she tries to survive and do her duty in the world of what is essentially a zombie apocalypse, but a fresh take on a zombie apocalypse. Stella Women's Academy, though, is great for different reasons. It is about an introverted girl named Yura being accepted into the prestigious high school she wanted to attend and she hoped to change herself and be more sociable. However things quickly get crazy for Yura when she finds under her pillow in her dorm a gun left by her dorm mate. The weapon isn't real, though. It's just an airsoft gun. Turns out her roommate is the president of the school's survival games club, which is basically an airsoft club where they play matches against each other and at tournaments. It is a pretty fun show. I also love the hell out of both show's openings. And, imo, I think Sunday Without God's opening is better than Attack on Titan's(though I love that one too)! There, I said it!

My friend Strotha wants me to see Vision of Escaflowne, so I am gonna check it out. What do you guys think of it? I haven't seen Escaflowne, but I have pretty good things about it. Also added yet another show to my lineup, Watamote. You guys need to see Watamote. The main character is kinda in the same initial situation as Stella Women's Academy's Yura, in that both are introverted and expect things to change in high school, the difference is Watamote's lead, Tomoko, is a crazy, self delusional dating sim fangirl who built her entire expectations of high school on said dating sims. So far she's basically been as close to being a yandere one can get without actually cutting some people. It is great. And forget everything I said about the openings of AoT, SWG, and SWA. Watamote's is f***ing BOSS!

For newer anime, I've watched Valvrave the Liberator and Majestic Prince.
The first is pretty interesting in the presentation of a school actually becoming a soverign nation to escape the fact that the world is basically at odds every single day. There are some elements that I am not a fan of (such as Episode 10, although the following episode does feature the main protagonist trying to make it up), but it is a rather fresh take on the warring factions mecha storyline and deciding to document people that want to seperate themselves from the ranks. At first, I thought the Drossia were generic, but they have some real interesting freaks amongst their ranks.
The latter is... meh, in terms of plot and characters. I really am not a fan of Anje (the new "thing"), and I got a feeling that they'll present him as the weak link of the group when the finale happens. Yeah, he can be a one-man army, but that's when he's not idle or putting down his partners. The mecha designs aren't that impressive, either. Of course, I do see both of them appearing in a Super Robot Wars game down the road.
For old-school, I am planning on watching The Galaxy Railways, which was a remake of Galaxy Railways 999, although I am planning on watching the original, as well.

Going to try to watch Afro Samurai and Afro Samurai: Ressurection this weekend. Afro Samurai is weird in that it is what 6 episodes? Yet it was clearly meant for all of the episodes to be one big movie. Also, Samuel L. does a great job voice acting.

Well, I bought the two at Kmart for $20 total a month or two ago but hadn't even unwrapped them. And I read that Jackson is a HUGE anime fan himself.

Watching the second season Toaru Kagaku no Railgun right now. I liked the first season, though honestly I didn't have that much interest in both seasons of Index. Well, episodes with Accelerator was nice, but I didn't really like Touma that much.
I guess Touma just falls into that unlucky and sometimes unnoticeable guy type that's seen in a lot of anime.

I saw the first episode of Watamote mainly because I had a ton of friends tell me to check it out. The more I think about the show the more I love it. I found a new anime to watch now, and that happens like once a year.

I haven't seen it yet as I do my anime viewing via Crunchyroll now.
And I also added another two shows to my viewing list, Fantasista Doll and Silver Spoon.
Fantasista Doll is some weird mix between Yu-Gi-Oh! and Rozen Maiden. Silver Spoon is a slice of life high school series from the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist. I couldn't tell at first that it was created by her until I saw one of the teachers had Armstrong's face.

Whoa, I just realized that the anime of Genshiken's second manga is here. Time to watch! Shame that they don't seem to be selling the second manga series here; have the manga of the first one, and the novel, and I really want the second one to add to my collection. It does make me realize that it's been years since it began; the pages are pretty worn out.
And for old time's sake:

They just aired a live-action movie of Arakawa Under the Bridge here. They definitely did as much as possible to make the cast look like their anime counterparts.
