At least 5-6 years.
He's still young enough - 36 at the moment. 6 years brings him to 42, which is the age HHH started his part time schedule.

He's going to be around a long long time.
I'd guess that working WWE main event style isn't as taxing on the body compared to styles others whos careers last a long time do.
His attempts at acting haven't been to sucessful and he doesn't really have much crossover appeal to do a jericho and find work outside the WWE.
I doubt they would have had The Rock pass the torch to him if he only had a few years left in the tank as well.

Honestly 3-4 years and I'm being generous. He hardly has ever had a long break from wrestling since he first started other even before in the WWE. He has been in the mainevent since 2005 meaning he has to have the longest matches and perform matches of the night constantly, tons of gimmick matches with lots of high spots, rushes back from major injuries, and he has a body builder build meaning tons of feats of strengths and his heaviness is probably not good for all of his joints and tendons and muscles. Plus he travels the most doing tons of promotional work and make a wish things. The difference between he and Edge who also did tons of high profile gimmick matches with tons of high spots is that Cena has a bus prolonging his career. So with that being said maybe 2-3 years. Then again Cena is a genetic freak Unfortunately I think you're right. He doesn't take time off, that's got to take a big toll on him. And then there's moves like his top rope fame-asser, with the way he lands I'm afraid that his back will wind up like Hogan's. I hope that's wrong, and he lasts a lot longer than that.

My problem is that I feel Cena IS the glass ceiling, and until he cracks, no one will be allowed to push on through. I wish it sounded more ridiculous to me, that the notion that WWE doesn't want anyone on Cena's level is true.
I genuinely like the guy, I just want these next 5-6 years to be Cena's best. I don't want him to just keep capturing titles, instead he could really reallllly help put some new talent over. He's like the Rock or Stone Cold to me at this point, he could lose and it wouldn't matter. His spot is so solidified he doesn't need to keep winning, which thankfully as of late hasn't been the case.

Cena comes across as the type who won't retire unless he's absolutely forced to, and even then he'll probably pull a Bruno and stay jacked to all hell into his 70s.

Cena's been going full force working the maximum schedule with the most outside activities for a very long time now.
I'm guessing before he chooses to retire, some sort of injury is going to catch up to him that he can't shake.

If he doesn't suffer a cataclysmic injury, he could easily last another 4-6 years the way WWE refuses to have him pass the torch.
Otherwise, it's going to be like Edge. I'd rather he bow out, retire with grace, and work as a special attraction guy.

Kane should strip him down to his underwear and burn his suit in a trash can to absorb his powers...

Barring injury, I could see him going as long as Undertaker & Shawn have. So, yes. A decade.
Granted, he can just spend a year or so soaking in the yellow rays of the sun and come back and be like new, but he has to at least pretend that he's human.

I'd guess that he has about 5 or so years full time and then another 5+ after that as a part time special attraction. I firmly believe that Cena is in fact Superman.

To be fair he seems to only pull that move only in big time matches these days

Anyone saying anything under 8 to 10 years (with the exception of an unlikely rare career ending injury) is fooling themselves. Cena lives, sleeps, breathes wrestling. He isn't going ANYWHERE.

A week. Until Payback. Rybacks stiffness will injure him so badly that he'll have to retire.
Or if he escapes the Ryback unharmed, he'll have at least 3-4 years before his body starts breaking down due to age, work-load, probable abuse and mental wear.
Then he'll be sheriff Cena in a no wrestling role along with co-GM Dixie Carter.
7-8 years from that moment on he'll return to face the next big kid friendly face... or Triple H depending how much Triple H is willing to leave the spotlight in 2025.

I don't know, when will the Sun die?
Seriously, I think he'll start to wind down in a year or two and become a part-timer like Taker.

We'd take shots at those who didn't like Cena till he was retired.

Once he locates Arn Anderson's fountain of youth, he will never leave WWE. It's more accurate to say that Arn found the fountain of middle age, he looked forty when he was twenty, he just aged into his appearance and now he looks good for his age.
