I don't believe they were fined, just like I don't believe triple H and Taker were fined at Mania 28.

This makes WWE feel like a real sport, it's like a fine for a helmet-to-helmet hit in football. I don't believe the fine was legit because I think they pre-approved the spot. It's a cool way to explain the lack of chairshots to the head in a kayfabe fashion, and make them feel like a big deal when they actually do happen.

I wondering when they'd address it. After getting over the shock of the shot, I thought back to Taker/Trips and wondered when they'd fine them.

It's kind of funny how it's Triple H that's making this statement.

It's hard to not question the legitimacy of this and other "fines" just because of the nature of the business. I highly doubt Orton and Bryan went into business for themselves and just started doling out headshots just like I doubt that the Undertaker and Triple H did the same. They're all smart enough and professional enough to know better.

There was a chairshot to the head? I thought Orton just chucked the chair at Bryan and it happened to hit him in the face

I was expecting this, although I thought the Taker/HHH fine was announced on the corporate site? Maybe I'm misremembering. It seems a little too "storyline" to have it on the main site.

Considering what the match did for Bryan and the over all quality of the match itself, I say worth it.

I think the "fine" thing is WWE's way of saying "oops, we need to communicate that the company's stance opposes this."

Yes, the Taker/HHH fine was announced on the corporate site and did not included any quotes. Also, they never say how much they're fined, so they could have very well been fined a shiny nickel (with them working that it was a huge fine).

But will being fined derail the Bryan Bandwagon, though?

A NICKEL! And the queer-o-sexuals knew their place, dagnabbit! Sorry, I channel an angry old man.

Seems like something they put on the website to appease parents and Right-To-Censor-like detractors of the brand. Oh and it comes in handy for the next political office position Linda McMahon attempts to get nominated for.

And just yesterday WWE put out a huge multi-page article celebrating the 15th anniversary of Undertaker v Mankind in the Cell. Way to send out mixed messages........
