Saints DE Kenyon Coleman (pec) out for season Bears CB Kelvin Hayden (hamstring) out for season WSCR TEXT: Bears lose nickelback Kelvin Hayden for the season with a torn hamstring. Head to 670 The Score and 670TheScore.com for more info. Reply STOP to cancel. Was only a matter of time till the season ending injury bug visited Kankakee County. I liked Hayden, but according to reports, Isaiah Frey has looked great at the nickel. He's apparently showing some polish blitzing from the spot too.

So former Jets O-lineman Brandon Moore announced his retirement from the NFL at 33. He actually signed a one year deal with the Cowboys, too. Guess his heart wasn't in it.
He was the "butt" of the butt fumble, but he was one of the more solid, good guys in the Jets locker room.

Some Bears notes from Brad Biggs, Michael C Wright, & Jeff Dickerson:
"@bradbiggs: Based on practice reps my hunch is James Brown starts at RG at Carolina. Look for lot of playing time for Kyle Long."
"@bradbiggs: #Bears announce WR Earl Bennett has a concussion. Will not play Friday. 2nd concussion since December"
"@bradbiggs: Trestman says Cutler will get very limited number of reps Friday night"
"@mikecwright: Hayden had MRI yesterday and undergoing another now, according 2 source. Surgery 2B scheduled ASAP. He could hardly stand up yesterday."
"@mikecwright: Trestman expects 6-8 month recovery for Hayden."
"@espnchibears: Jermon Bushrod sounded as if the #Bears planned to play it safe with him Friday vs. #Panthers."

BTW, are there any other Bears fans here? Don't remember seeing many, but I may just be forgetting.

And another retirement. Safety Deon Grant has decided to call it a career and will retire as a New York Giant.

I'm also a Bears fan. In fact, I'm currently living in the training camp home of the Bears, Bourbonnais, IL.

NFL really just rolling out silly rules now Yea, that's not going work out too well. Try telling a woman she can't have her purse. Go ahead, we'll wait. Backpacks I get, but purses? Riiiight.

Saw the pic of him looking like a whale, but I guess it was supposedly a bad angle. He was in first team RB drills yesterday, but he sat out today because of a "hamstring issue". It looks like if he stays healthy (Which is apparently hard to do this year), he's probably going to be our starter and finally give us some sort of running game. Yeah, it was just a bad angle. I've seen other pictures of him looking perfectly fine, and I doubt we'd give him much if he had shown up out of shape to that degree.

NFL really just rolling out silly rules now This is pretty much a (over)reaction to the Boston Marathon bombings.

So essentially players can't celebrate in any form of individual expression now, cause that covers basically every single type of "look at me" celebration any football player has ever done. Well done NFL. What are the players supposed to do now? Congratulatory handshakes all around? No, the Lambeau Leap is still allowed. The Mile High Salute is crossing the line though. Idiotic. Good god the NFL is dense at times.

The "before" pic that was floating around with it blew my mind. Couldn't figure how someone gets THAT fat, THAT fast. Alas, the angle got him, & got him good.

I can't believe the amount of injuries that have happened so far in training camp. Some teams are losing valuable pieces.
