I love the vignettes. Love the promos, the character. But I'm starting to wonder how they're going to live up the vignettes. How are they going to show us that The Wyatt Family are the monsters they're portaying them as, within the boundaries of PG and their overall story-telling style? They have to be dark and morbid enough to stand out, because that's how they're being presented in the vignettes. On NXT, from what I've seen they pretty much just wrestle, and Bray Wyatt cuts some crazy promos. But they're not really doing anything that crazy, unless I totally missed something.
I realize this might come off as bitching before anything even happens, but it's not. Just curious to see how they can see this character through to it's full potential, and if anyone has ideas of how they can do that.

They will probably be like the shield in the sense that they don't really have storylines to do with their gimmick they just attack people and have matches.
Infact they don't seem to have character based storylines at all these days. Like Val Venis for example doing porn scenes with divas.

I say have them take certain people backstage with them after they beat them, only to have them next week suddenly become followers. Ministry of Darkness-type thing.

I don't like the commentators and/or wrestlers talking about the Wyatt Family, because to me it kills their vibe by making them them out to be "just wrestlers".

Also, why debut them the week before the PPV?
Why not wait until after when we'll at least get some level of storyline resets?

They may do the unthinkable, such as beat Kofi Kingston and then ATTACK HIM AFTER THE BELL ALSO

With all the vignettes, and even ending raw with one, they obviously are very high on this stable. Maybe you introduce them a week before the ppv and then they ransack a MITB match and Bray wins the case?

God I hope not. I'm cautiously optimistic that he's so different that people won't recognize him, and Husky Harris is a distant memory that never did anything significant to begin with.

No way can they live up to the hype that some have set for them. I figure they show up, brainwash some guys that aren't otherwise doing anything and then job a lot while Bray berates them for being losers Flock style.

I predict that Punk or Cena is the instigator in such a chant.

I figure they show up, brainwash some guys that aren't otherwise doing anything and then job a lot while Bray berates them for being losers Flock style. Honestly, for the betterment of the product as a whole, "not living up to the hype" and "just showing up" is what needs to happen. Part of the problem with WWE nowadays is that they're trying to make too many people into "big deals". The roster is too top heavy, which makes everyone else look that much weaker by comparison, and trying to make the Wyatt Family a "big deal fairly quick" will only make it worse. Every stable doesn't HAVE to be a "biggest threat to the company". They shouldn't be thrown into the main event scene right away because then there's nowhere to go but down and we'd just complain that they've been "buried" because they aren't World Champions. We've already seen that with The Shield to some extent. HOWEVER, if all they do is squash Zack Ryder or whomever for the first few weeks and then immediately go into a feud with a main eventer, all they've served to do is further perpetuate the "Non-main event faces don't matter" environment that we've been subjected to for the past few years, and thus their presence is no real improvement to the product. Ideally, they should be firmly in the midcard, but they should be booked dominantly over midcard faces. Not squashing them, but always winning. Put them over as a force in the midcard, with midcard faces stepping UP to challenge them.

I get Ministry vibes from the promos, that's the kind of thing I'm hoping for. I just wanna see how far they can push it in order to make it feel unsettling.

Honestly I wish the first thing they would do is attack the Shield.

I say they feud with the shield. Crowd determines who to cheer for, EXACTLY! force the fans to cheer for one or the another and go from there. I wouldn't let it be a run in either, after a Shield match dim the lights low (sin cara) and have their music hit and walk out slowly. Surround the ring like the Shield usually do and then jump them. It would have fans guessing where they go from there.
