I feel that it would have been a better tv series than a movie, like the comic it can be episodic and focus on certain characters. I would check this out

Fox will cancel it surely. regardless of quality. If they put it on FX or the new FX2 than it has a chance. I am interested regardless. I like the concept, the comics, and everyone has their opinions, but I liked the movie too.

Yeah, it can't really be that much worse than the movie...

If they thought the average American movie fan didn't know enough about the classic British characters in the story so that they had to add in Tom Sawyer for the movie what are the going to do for the average fox TV viewer?

Considering what FOX did to the Headless Horsemen, exactly zero people should be optimistic about this.

If they are willing to be faithful to the comics then there is a chance that this could be a good show.
However I'm not getting more hopes up.

Considering the comics introduces one of the heroes by having him be a rapist in a convent, I'm not sure faithfulness is even possible. This is an idea that would have worked better as a tv show, but probably more on HBO or AMC, where they know how to handle licensed material better and are a touch more patient.

Captain Nemo was the only good thing about the movie. I liked his sub. But his car was even better.
