Wasn't there also some speculation that Paul Ellering had managed to have a copy, and that it, as well as his daughter working there, is why he was working for WWE again? I wasn't sure if that was ever confirmed or denied. That was the rumor but the official story from the WWE archivist is the footage was found in the last or two on a mislabeled or poorly labeled bit of footage. It was just labeled "random omni footage" or similar. That does make a lot of sense. Hell, that happens with lost films or episodes of shows, too. Archivists have a tough job.

1. Oprah is a better wrestling commentator than Michael Cole.
2. Oprah is also a decent wrestling interviewer.
3. The Hulk Hogan interview on that show is f***ing INSANE, and it includes him admitting to doing a shitton of drugs at Woodstock, "but that's all behind me now!" WHAT?!

Can someone help me understand Hulk at 22:12, I'm not sure what he's trying to say, but it seems a bit dodgy.

He tells Oprah he's darker than her (re: skin color), then says its because he hasn't been in the sun for a while. It doesn't make sense, but that's what he says.

Hulk seemed soooo confused in that interview. I think Oprah did a great job. Really too bad they never had her on as a WrestleMania celebrity. In 85 she was probably too small a name but by time she got big, her asking price maybe too high.

She was just starting to become nationally known. I know in Chicago, she was more known than Clare Peller, the "Where's The Beef" lady. (I think more people knew Chet Coppock - the ring announcer who had a sports show in an era before sports radio became a huge thing - than that old woman.)

Damn, never knew this happened. A few thoughts. 1. I know Andre's hunched over due to his degenerating by then, but it still reminds me that Mick is deceptively tall. I guess I often forget that because most of the time I watched him when I got into wrestling, he was opposite larger guys. 2. Mick's selling his heart out here, he managed to make much of Andre's offense at this point in his career look good, and that was often not the case by then.

Rick Rude had tights like that at Survivor Series 87. I wonder if they were designed by the same guy.

Sensational Sherri. There's another person who I think if she came along today would never get over as a heel.

Wow. I never knew this existed. Seems like something I should've known about, but I'm mesmorized by this right now.
