Nick Bockwinkel was a contestant on Hollywood Squares in 1968 and crushed it, winning $1300, a Pontiac Firebird and a new kitchen.

There's a grandfather of a future WCW champion in that show as well.

They filmed and aired the random selection drawing for the King Of The Ring 1986? www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPruAUEWL8UNever seen this before, or even knew they did this. My best guess, it was only aired in Massachusetts, since the 1986 KOTR tournament took place in a house show in Foxboro, MA.

Hercules suffered an ankle injury prior to the show and was replaced with Mr. X. Bob Orton also missed some time, not sure why, but Rudy Diamond took his place.

The first several KOTR's were in Foxboro (the 1st 2) and Providence (from 1987 to 1991, no KOTR's in 90 or 92). I remember the local Event Centers hyping the last few tournaments but to my knowledge the events were not aired around here. I'm certain if they had the videos would be out there online.

Finally some footage from this! British Bulldog's final match (a brief clip of the pre-match). This is where he teamed with his son, Harry. Happened on May 14th of 2002 in Canada, and Bulldog died 4 days later.

I always throw this up in hopes of it finally being validated for me. I will try again. So, one of the many weekend WCW shows. Circa 90-91. Sting comes out for a jobber match. They go to lockup. The size difference becomes very apparent at this time. Sting has an existential crisis. He plays to the crowd that it wouldn’t be right to beat up such a little guy. He may or may not have propped the lil fella up on the Turnbuckle and patted his head. Sting tells the ref he isn’t going to fight this guy. Sting’s music plays and he is declared the winner for being a nice boi. DID THIS SHIT HAPPEN?!? I’d love to see this as I could see WCW in 1990 or so doing something this silly. It seems like there is a missing part where after Sting pats the guy on the head he’d turn around and start walking away then the little guy would attack him. This would lead Sting to defend himself and get a quick win. But it’s WCW in the early 1990s so I could see it happening your way. -whistles- www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Eau-1e_Lw

A very minuscule jobber Perry Saturn (as Peter Motts) in the opening match against Tatanka on the July 25th 1992 Superstars. www.dailymotion.com/video/x5w4ccnYou can catch the HD version on the Network.

Andre The Giant apparently wrestled two last matches for WWF in 1991. Both in house shows: As part of a 6-Man tag match in Belfast, Northern Ireland, that also included Shawn Michaels and Mr. Fuji. www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=160920And in a battle royal in Long Island, New York, with the winner getting an Intercontinental Title match. www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=31912I don't know if either match was taped or not, but that battle royal I'd kinda wanna see.

It aired locally in Boston as in NYC we got promos for the shows upcoming at MSG/Meadowlands/Nassau Coliseum. The KOTR was referenced on TV a few times after Race had won it, but no footage of it shown that I know of.

Find it pretty nuts that there were early 90s WWF live events in Northern Ireland. Always assumed 2002 was the first time they came over here.

He had a few similar promos throughout 97. He buried the WWE, Shawn and Bret as well. He'd make sure to put over Foley, Arn, Taker and Austin at least.
His line about oxygen deprivation is probably one of my favourite lines from a promo. He just delivers it perfectly.

Always loved the "garbage" line as well.
