I like them a lot, but they're kind of falling into the same pattern The Shield (who I also like) fell into. That is to say WWE just hoping they get by on rule of cool instead of giving them a real storyline. The Shield are actually doing something else now, but it came after weeks and weeks and WEEKS of the same schtick to get to that point. WWE have a chance for some really creative stuff with the Wyatts, so I hope we see more from them than just squash matches.

Also, they really shouldn't turn face. That's a terrible idea.

They are okay.
It is really tough to take Bray Wyatt as a serious threat right now because he reeks of trying way too hard.
His cronies have a better future because they have a unique and intimidating look.
Bray Wyatt is also a bit sloppy in the ring too which would have been doom doom for his career if his dad was not doing the company's taxes!

Why do you light up a lamp, blow it out and light it up again just to blow it out? Why does the lamp transform into an electric lamp sometimes? When it transforms to an electric lamp why do you blow on it when you turn it off?
These questions will be the death of Bray Wyatt. I like what they're doing with them, the Kane feud was cool and will come back and continue to be cool. But they gotta do something more fluid with the lamp, it's driving me nuts.

I feel like WWE is doing this with most if not all of their "gimmick" characters. Not only the Wyatts, but guys like Damien Sandow, Fandango, and Tons of Funk are expected to stay over via their gimmicks while doing very little.

I like the gimmick and Bray does a good job. the problem is, they aren't doing anything particularly interesting. it's like "the Pirates who don't do anything" (to quote TVtropes) but instead it's "the R-rated exploitation film backwoods cult who don't do annything". "I'm gonna make you bleat like a sheep, boy" has to become a catch phrase.

I look forward to them each week, on whatever show they're on. This is all just stalling until Leatherface Kane debuts.
On a side note, I'm confused a bit by the blah feelings towards these guys. I mean when someone debuts and gets the "big deal fairly quick" build, they get hate for being pushed too fast. And now these guys get a slower push and get hate for directionless.

The problem is that the "big deal fairly quick" thing is the very thing that has rendered them directionless. WWE only wants to put them in programs with main eventers and all the active main event talents are busy with other things. Why not just let them be a midcard Shield that has six man feuds with midcard faces? There's no reason for Rowan and Harper to have glorified squashes against Tons of Funk when they could be feuding instead.

Problem with the wyatts is for them to be interesting is going to take some writing work. If you phone it in with them, they're going to come off pretty boring.

They're knocking it out of the park, promo/character-wise, but the in-ring aspect is lacking. They've got to do better with this guy's feuds.

I don't like the electric lamp either, but I understand why they do it. Would be awful to use a real flame and have it die out while walking down the ramp or something. And at the very least, Bray Wyatt toned down the blowing out of the electric lamp from their debut. He REALLY put some force in it the first time. But yeah, they could do the entrance just fine without that "lighting the lamp just to blow it out" intro.

Also, they really shouldn't turn face. That's a terrible idea. I think they'll turn face eventually (maybe in a year or more). You just know Vince McMahon wouldn't pass on the chance to sell thousands of those sheep masks and hats to little kids.

I still like 'em, but they've had 'em spinning their wheels since defeating Kane. Some progression of any kind is sorely needed.

They need to bring in Sting as his joker version, and then have the Waytt's as his henchman. That way we can have this moment. "Stinger said he'd make the voices go away. He said he'd go inside and replace them with bright lights.... like Christmas!"

Bad timing. They debuted to much hype and promptly got overshadowed by Randy Orton, Corpirate Champion. Their started a decent feud with Kane only for him to be out for several months to work on a movie. Their debut should have been held back till the fall-perhaps coinciding with Halloween.
