People are PISSED about Shibata losing, especially to Benjamin, who has been lackluster through his entire NJPW run. I've seen a few people hypothesize that this is continued punishment for Shibata leaving all those years ago.
Personally, I'm willing to give Gedo and Jado the benefit of the doubt, and I'm definitely intrigued as to where this will lead. One thing I love about Puro is that it's rarely as predictable as I think.

So this also means that Bad Luck Fale is in line for a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Was the runner-up getting the other title shot ever confirmed?

The site I got this from mentioned it like it was, but another site said that it was unconfirmed yesterday, so I'm not 100% sure on it, I guess we'll see.

The more I think about it, the more I'd like to see Okada vs. Fale. At this point, Fale isn't exactly hot fire in the ring, but I think it would be a great test to see if Okada is good enough to get a main-event level match out of Fale.
Also, it could lead to great build-up: How can Okada hit the Rainmaker on that big of a guy? Will it even be as effective? How can he beat him? It'd leave enough doubt in there to make the match really interesting to watch.

Nakamura getting busted open hardway really saved that main event. Also, I REALLY hope Fale gets a shot at Okada because this confusing monster push he's getting is insanely entertaining to behold. Maybe Devitt really is going to WWE and they're going to make him the new head of the Bullet Club?

Fale won't be the head of Bullet Club. If Devitt leaves, that's Karl Anderson's gig.

I do like that they're saving the Okada/Nakamura feud, but I don't know if you want Swagsuke to lose three times to Tanahashi, unless they have someone in mind for Nakamura to drop the IC belt to before going after Okada.

Word is, according to Meltzer, that AJ Styles signed a year-long deal with NJPW, with his first appearance coming at Invasion Attack.

If I'm a TNA alumni, I'm heading to NJPW. You regain your credibility and make some money while working for one of the best promotions in the world. Hell, just go to Japan in general. Honestly, I think even Wes Brisco could get a gig somewhere in Japan.
