Kanye West is a crazy person, to the surprise of people somehow. I am a fan of Kanye, and part of that is accepting he is living in some kind of alternate reality. I'd like to think he actually sees the world like music videos, and stuff like Ayyy Girl is just a snippet of what real life looks like to him.

f*** you, Kanye. You couldn't be another Michael Jackson if your life depended on it.

Jeez.
I don't hate hip hop, er, at least your right to enjoy it, but I do hate that these are the guys that kiddies take their cues from.
Dude sounds like half of a half of a retard.

To be honest, MUSICALLY, I think he has gone above Michael. Not popularity but who can.

If you want to make comparisons, not counting collaborations and other projects, Yeezus is Kanye's sixth album. MJ's sixth solo album was Thriller. If Kanye's eighth/ninth album is super hot, I'm going to say then he's surpassed MJ.

So then Jimmy Kimmel did a spoof on it with two kids (one who didn't get that (a) Zane Lowe is bald, and (b) Zane Lowe is from New Zealand), and Kanye then responded...
...and many MANY more like that.
Kimmel responded with a few of his own, one such being...

Kanye was saying some real stuff in the interview though, it's one of those things people really should watch. I mean, Kanye's got issues but he ain't crazy.
But of course Jimmy Kimmel is going to keep proving to be the comedic equivalent of a dried turd. Remember y'all, dude was with Sarah Silverman. SARAH SILVERMAN. Birds of a feather...

I don't even understand how "Yeezy" can even say he's passed Michael Jackson musically. Michael introduced the world to stuff like Thriller and Smooth Criminal. Every time I hear something from Kanye West, it's just the same "Yo yo yo, f***er, n*****" bullshit that every rap does. Then again, I hate rap, so I admit that I probably just can't hear the difference.

A self-aggrandizing rapper. How very droll, Kanye.
I would have been more impressed if he said he's surpassed Alexandre Dumas, but that would require reading books and Kanye would never want a book's autograph.

His reaction to Jimmy Kimmel is like the real life version of the "Fish Sticks" episode. Pretty hilarious.

I don't even understand how "Yeezy" can even say he's passed Michael Jackson musically. Because that's not really what he said. The reason he brings up Michael Jackson is because he feels that right now he has reached the point that he should be known for more than just his music. Whereas even when he was at his peak, MJ was hardcore about his music. MJ did do a few other things, but he was always a musician first and foremost. That's not even a bad thing. Kanye doesn't quite feel that way about producing, though he'll never dog it when he does. He feels stifled because he's treated as being "only" a music producer and nothing he does outside of that niche is given any notice, assuming he'd even get the opportunity to do so...and he pretty much connects a lot of that to being a Black guy producing "urban" music. He's been saying that for a while now though. But whatever, this is just another example of what happened to Dave Chappelle. The minute this dude starts talking about real shit people start saying he's crazy, on drugs, had a breakdown or any combination to discredit him. I know we all wanna clutch pearls because he dare say he's anywhere near or even past Michael Jackson at anything, but c'mon man. Gotta dial that back just a little bit and focus more on what he's getting at than falling into that shallow thinking stuff.

What new moves (like the moonwalk) has he done? What amazing and different music videos has he done? I don't really consider "shocking" stuff to be all that different. For it's time, the Thriller video was something totally out of the ordinary and gave us great music, a killer music video, and a new dance style. I don't see any of this coming from Kanye West...just complaining about stuff (nothing new there, everyone seems to do that), and rather boring music videos (a head on a wall? Different sorta...but not really memorable or amazing).

Maybe you don't see any of this because from what I can tell you don't even like the music he does, nor do you listen to rap in general? I mean, "what amazing and different music videos has he done?" C'mon man, you can't ask a question like that on an internet message board in a topic about Kanye West and not expect someone to pull the LMGTFY-Card. Even in an era where music videos in general don't mean shit, as opposed to the time when MJ was hitting his peak as a solo act, Kanye's still got some good shit. You expecting Kanye to revolutionize dance is not a good sign for where this is gonna go, man. If you wanna just let the hatred flow then let the hatred flow but you can't come into a topic to discuss Kanye West and not know anything about Kanye West. It's just like...why would you do that? Seems kinda risky to me.

Kanye West's artistic ideas are as deep as the $120 plain white t-shirts that he sells.

Kanye West's artistic ideas are as deep as the $120 plain white t-shirts that he sells. And he even complained about those, claiming all they'll let famous black people like him design is t-shirts.
