Right, because Bryan is now getting Conway pops because of that. Except he isn't, he's just as crazy over as ever. Nothing personal, but I just don't buy that Bryan's position in the main event is so fragile that someone else being involved in his feud is going to ruin him. Seriously. Someone else in general? No. An already established name who is being booked a lot stronger than Bryan and booked to have all the Big Damn Heroes moments that Bryan or some other young talent should have? Maybe it won't ruin him, but that's in spite of WWE booking. Bryan may have risen above 18 Seconds, but WWE seems to be working overtime to undermine him at every opportunity. So if I understand you correctly, if a young guy (for giggles lets say Riley) got Show's exact story-line,placement etc in this feud, he won't overshadow Bryan. Yet Show does. I don't understand that.

Well, not if you're Sheamus.

I don't understand that. The problem with Show's involvement in this angle is that in all of his interactions with Bryan, he's been pushed as either Bryan's savior or as someone who could crush Bryan effortlessly if he wanted to. In fact the WWE Title feud as a whole seems to have taken a backseat to Show/HHH. If a young guy DID get Show's exact storyline, he WOULDN'T get the same placement that Big Show would get. Bryan would be in his rightful spot as the focus of the show. I've made this point multiple times that I have no problem with Bryan having allies. It's just those allies need to clearly be SECONDARY to Bryan, because this storyline is SUPPOSED to be about solidifying Bryan as the new THE GUY, and any other talents being elevated or spotlighted should be handled in a way that doesn't take away from Bryan or make him appear weaker. Look at Cody Rhodes. At no point in this storyline is he being booked to be stronger or more important than Bryan. Yes he's been main eventing shows, but presentation-wise, Cody is still pretty much an upper midcard level talent. Highlighting Cody has never come at Bryan's expense or diminished his presence, but highlighting Big Show has. Since you brought up Alex Riley and I'm apparently incapable of talking about anything else because I love Alex Riley and he's on my mind all the time, let's talk about Alex Riley. If Riley were given that small push, and that small storyline, realistically there would be no way in hell that he would be getting booked above Bryan or Orton or even above the Rhodes or Miz. If Riley and Bryan had a match, do you see Riley "reluctantly dominating" Bryan and being upset because he's afraid that he might kill Bryan with his bare hands? No. Maybe some of the other stuff, like beating up Miz, or hitting a finisher on Dusty would happen, but Riley would still probably get less screen time doing it than Show would. Would Riley be the one to knock out HHH? No. At most he'd probably provide a distraction and give the opening for Bryan to do it himself. This has always been my point. A younger talent can get his own rub without taking away Bryan's heat. If Riley tried to save Bryan from the Shield, then Riley would probably go down swinging, which would still make him look badass, but it would allow Bryan to be the hero and get the last word. Big Show, by nature of being a big guy, pretty much HAS to wreck everyone and that makes Bryan look weaker overall. Bryan is treated like Big Show's little buddy who needs to be saved all the time. If Riley or any other young talent were in this angle, the roles would be reversed and Riley would be in the little buddy role.

While that was a nice long post, that doesn't really answer my question. I was asking if you gave a lower card guy the same exact angle word for word that Big has, if you be upset that he's stealing the spotlight from D-bryan. Because from how you worded the previous post, it seemed your not upset that Bryan has his spotlight taken away, it's that it's Show taking it away.

This is supposed to be Bryan's story. I have a lot of guys that I want to be pushed, but not at Bryan's expense. This actually brings me back to Sheamus and 18 seconds. I would be upset because if WWE pushed someone like Riley, Ryder, Miz, Ziggler, etc. over Bryan in such a manner, they'd risk that person getting the same backlash that Sheamus did after 18 Seconds. I'd love it if a guy like Riley got pushed, but I'd be upset because not only would they be shitting on Bryan, they'd risking Riley's overall overness in the process. Sorry for ranting earlier. I just got really upset when you brought Riley's name into the discussion because I felt like you were just dismissing my argument as me whining about Riley again. I know I go overboard with the Riley love, but that wasn't what I was trying to do.
