Amethyst going "AND HE TRIES!" had me on the floor laughing my ass off.

CN is going into June HARD Adventure Time will have a week of premiers starting June 6th leading up to the Season "Finnale" And then it leads right into a week of new Stevens They're totally capitalizing on the fact that Rival Network, Nickelodeon, has a stagnant as hell June in terms of premiers. But I'm so hyped for Steven's return, all the Cartoons I love are coming back for the summer. Steven, Star vs, and then in July Rick and Morty and GRAVITY FALLS BABAY! It's a good time.

I'm very excited to hear new ones are coming. I think the hiatus may have also given a lot of fans time to play catch-up. I hope that will be reflected in the ratings, because, without hyperbole, this is one of my favorite shows that I have ever seen, and well on its way to being my favorite show I have ever watched.

I don't know if I can go so far as to say that just yet, but I haven't seen a cartoon that I've found to be all-around great in about a decade (the last one was SpongeBob in its first 4-5 seasons). Everything about it is top-notch. Excellent voice cast. Excellent character development. Excellent stories. Excellent animation and general presentation. It's innocent enough that almost any child can watch it, but it's simultaneously mature enough and stylistically effective that it doesn't come across as a kiddie show.

I mean I love Ducktales, Gargoyles, and plenty of other cartoons that came on before. Heck, I still love My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's just that Steven Universe quickly became my favorite cartoon that's on right now. Gravity Falls is fantastic with its own lore too, I just really love all the main characters in SU and the relationships between them.

Agreed. Steven Universe is easily one of my Top 5 Favorite Cartoons of all Time. I haven't hated a single episode... and that's difficult for me to do, I nitpick huge, but overall I liked to LOVED every episode... the only other show to my knowledge to accomplish this that isn't Anime is Over the Garden Wall. Even Avatar had The Great Divide...
Even if/when a time comes where I hate a Steven episode, this is easily the longest streak I've gone with a show without hating an episode.

Steven's back with a NEW INTRO!!! A lot of cool things happened in Sworn to the Sword. Connie decides to fight with Steven against the Homeworld Gems, and judging from the new intro her training will stick. We got to see more of Pearl's inner flaws in regards to Rose, plus two songs that were both good reflections of the characters thus far. I can't wait to see what happens in the rest of this week!

Yeah, I think it will. The show doesn't seem to do things just to forget about them, so I think it'll be a thing. Know what'll be fun? If Steven and her can keep up that teamwork they used on Pearl, if Steven trains more to protect Connie as she protects him, {Spoiler}What if we'll get to see Stevonnie fight someone?

Its so funny because I was thinking about how nice it would be if they changed the opening, yet believing it wouldn't happen because none of CN's other shows changed their openings. Except for I think only Johnny Bravo. It was a nice surprise, and needed since Amethyst, Garnet and Pearl have all changed their appearances since the first season. It was actually perfect that the season left off at Reformed.
EDIT: Also, it's just a little thing I noticed but Jaime the Mailman can be seen sitting by himself not unlike he did in Love Letters. I just love the attention to detail on this show!

Makes me wonder if we'll see him more. I like him as a character. I knew they planned to change the opening, I just wasn't sure when it would happen, just it was something that had been mentioned in the past by someone on staff.

A few notes.
Pretty sure this is Connie's first song, for one. Secondly, I love that Steven is still nervous around Holo-Pearl. With good reason! Third, as tempting as a conclusion as it is, in Pearl's memories of the war with Homeworld, that's probably not Jasper, as Jasper specifically said that while she DID fight in that war and respected Rose's tactics, she "looked forward to meeting her" when she came to Earth in The Return, implying she never actually fought Rose personally.
