A few notes. Pretty sure this is Connie's first song, for one. Secondly, I love that Steven is still nervous around Holo-Pearl. With good reason! Third, as tempting as a conclusion as it is, in Pearl's memories of the war with Homeworld, that's probably not Jasper, as Jasper specifically said that while she DID fight in that war and respected Rose's tactics, she "looked forward to meeting her" when she came to Earth in The Return, implying she never actually fought Rose personally. Another note
Steven Universes tracks can rival Disney's in arrangement and greatness in my opinion

Ah, oops, the jam buddies song I guess would be her first song, but obviously "Do it for Him" is a bigger deal. Pearl really is pretty much a samurai ballerina.

Well, that was a very silly episode, especially given the title, but I liked it, even if the title seemed like a fakeout of having either Peridot show up(maybe the Crashing Skies) or Rising Tides being Jasper/Lapis' situation. It was probably needed levity after how dark Sworn to the Sword got, though, and I like Ronaldo's antics.

She is, but that may be a coincidence. I forget what Indian martial art it is, but they wear VERY similar clothing, with a red sash and the dark purple/blue clothing. Might be what they were going for, given her heritage.

Somewhat disappointed that Rising Tides/Crashing Skies wasn't a two-parter, but I figured it'd be weird to do one with Renaldo in such a prominent role. The episode was pretty hilarious, though! I'm glad they've been having Renaldo make up for not appearing much in the first half of last season.

The episode was a sorely needed silly episode considering I'm pretty sure "Keeping it Together" is going to destroy us...

Okay, heads up folks. Episode 61, "We Need To Talk" was mistakenly leaked when either Amazon or iTunes put it out for season pass holders, instead of Keeping it Together. I will NOT tell people where to find it, and neither will any of you, since that's verboten as per the rules, anyhow, but be careful on your tumblr feeds, social media, what have you, because a lot of shit happened and people are going to want to talk about it.
Please DO NOT post spoilers for the episode in here until at least 5:15 PM, US Central time, because that is when the episode has legitimately aired. I do not want people to get spoiled on this, because this was a very important episode.

So, Pearl's dick behavior towards Greg comes off harsher after this episode.

I don't wanna shit on this parade, but.....I must be the only person on the planet that doesn't get this show. The concept seems neat, and what I've seen seemed well written, but the voice acting just kills me. It's terrible, with the exception of the tall black one(Garnet?). I dunno....

The Voices are the best part of the show bro, as it goes on they become some of the best well voiced characters currently going right now. It's ok if you don't get it but you can see, a lot of people are, and loving it

So, Pearl's dick behavior towards Greg comes off harsher after this episode. Carry a torch for thousands of years, and you're going to get bitter when someone else catches the object of your affection's eye. That said, by the end of the episode, she at least seemed to get that despite the shit she said earlier, that this wasn't a phase or a novelty to Rose, and this was something pretty different from what any of them had seen before. I do notice she gets along well enough with Greg nowadays, working on the van with him, and calling him Greg, not Mr. Universe like she did in the flashbacks, so for what it's worth, I think things are at least more civil.

They've really been knocking these episodes out of the park this week. I knew we'd have more flashback episodes with Greg, and it's nice to have one this soon. Marty didn't appear, but I still suspect he'll be back in another flashback or make a surprise appearance in the present. The parts with Greg and Pearl dropping the mic were great. Finally, we get to hear Rose sing! And boy what a voice Susan Egan has! The last part where Greg told Connie she could always come to him for advice was the most heartwarming. What's weird is I think there have been some signs of Greg being attracted to Pearl now.

Like, I think it's possible, but I don't think Pearl would reciprocate it. I think in Coach Steven he was probably just kidding, but hard to say, I guess. Due to Maximum Capacity, I do strongly suspect that Amethyst and Greg had some form of relationship when Steven was young, since the Little Butler stuff at the very least was a lot of time spent together in closeness, but if it had been romantic, I'd understand, especially given both would be in a vulnerable spot, emotionally.
