Will edit this in the Round rules but I forgot one thing that was then brought up to me:
The two Finalists can use the same artists. The One Artist, One song is lifted for the Round. So, in the event that the finalists select songs from the same artist, that will be legal. I want to have as few restrictions as I can in the Finale and that's one I feel like we can waive. It also makes playing the Anonymous vs. Roxie category easier and adds more drama if the two songs end up going up against each other.
Also, long time Idol followers will remember a Finale where contestants had to pick songs for artists picked by judges, which then went head to head with each other. Neat pseudo homage there.

Ah, I guess the road's gotta end somewhere, right?
This game has been so much fun. From finishing at the absolute bottom in Round 1 with Never Leave Me Alone, and realizing how the judges work and how you have to make decisions in this game, to surviving all of those singoffs, to placing in third overall, it's been a blast. I just wanna thank Cage for starting this game, Tyger for leading it and running this whole show, all the judges for liking my stuff, and Orange for being the guy to beat me. It was an awesome experience, and I had a lot of fun doing it.
...that being said, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think I could go further than I did this season. So, hey, I'm not saying I'm throwing my hat in the ring for next season, I'm just saying I'm thinking about it.
For real though, this was awesome. Major props to everyone involved.

Complete class right here. You survived Round after Round and likely would've won had this been a shorter Season. There were times where it looked like you could do no wrong and you picked great music all the way to the end. You can't ask for more. Who knows what will happen in the future, but you've established yourself as one of the best players in the game imo. You were very successful and you took risks and that is really impressive.

I'd also like to note that the Finale categories are fantastic. They stack up well with last Season's finale categories and they give the contestants plenty of room to come up with great music. They are wide open enough to allow for excellent music to be chosen, while having perimeters that help to keep things challenging and enable the contestants to have something concrete to play off of. Sometimes having too much freedom can be detrimental but I think we have a great balance.

This game has been going on for a year, right? Definitely no shame in going out now, and you're such a strong player that you can easily do it all again next season, so I hope we see you back! I personally can't believe I've made it this far! Even if I don't win, I'm definitely taking pride in lasting this long, because I've never even been this close.

sure I only played one season, but the real challenge in going deep is that a lot of you musical catalog is wiped out. That's why I skipped this season off to judge. With this going on a year, I pretty comfortable in returning as a contestant whenever next season starts up. Hats off to Roxie to doing it back to back, I'd be gone way earlier this time around.

Yeah, this Season was stacked. I think every contestant had at least one song I loved.

Like last Season, it'll be a good idea for us to have a post game thread. We can talk about the Season, highs and lows, particular Rounds, and so on. Cage can start it when the Finale is over and we've wrapped up the thread. One thing that I think has been helpful is that we've been able to stay on this second thread with the board increasing thread size to 100 pages. In the post thread, we can come up with what to do for next Season. I'm not going to say it's a definitive yet but Pegasus Warrior talked about doing another Scavenger Hunt: World Series of Pop Culture. Here's the link to the first one: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/413494/scavenger-world-series-culture-winnerIf we do that, it'll give us something to do instead of running Idol for a bit. Games as a section has grown during the last few years but we're still at the stage where we don't have enough people to do both games at the same time. It'll be a good idea to take a break for a bit. One thing that needs to happen is adopting a new scoring format or a way to regulate Rounds so we don't have too many. I love a lot of the Rounds but even I'll admit that there were too many of them. Pegasus Warrior, Jazzman, and others brought up different scoring methods, different ways to do eliminations and Round structure, so I feel that whoever hosts next should take those ideas and come up with a new format. It's tough because you have to come up with a proper balance so that you're doing enough Rounds without doing too many. Plus, for me anyway, it takes me a while before I hit my stride in terms of Round ideas. So there's that to consider. There's been interest in doing another Season and I think it might be time for the older guard of players to give the keys over to Knailsic, Waffel, fw91, suave, radradsley, Canctus, and others and see what they can do. Whenever we do the next one, we should see some changes. We've been playing almost non-stop for almost two years, so it's time to take a break. We'll need new categories and it'll help to see what the rest of this year and some of next year (or longer) brings us musically. I'll definitely work with whoever does the next one to whatever degree they want me to, but I've pretty much used all my ideas in terms of categories.

One thing about Mafia is I can see being able to do it while doing something else as well. Still, that's for the people to decide.

Waiting on the Finale contestants. As this is the final, and most difficult Round, please allow them the necessary time to select music worthy of the rest of this Season.
