Lets face it gang, with Hogan gone and ongoing rumors of WWE seeking to sign Sting, TNA needs a new big name to ensure their survival. What legendary star should TNA look to for ushering in a new era that will make everything up to now look like peanuts? I think we all know who... You want him Dixie. You know you do.

I'd mark for Virgil.
He could be trying to shill autographs to TNA backstage until someone gets conned into buying one and flips their shit thus starting an epic feud that changes the business.
You could also work FAN's Todd in as an extra for these segments.

Unless they get in the wayback machine and travel back to 1994 or 2000, there's no one big enough who would come TNA and make any impact.

They have had Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Sting...four of the biggest names in wrestling history and none of them have taken TNA to the next level. There isnt anyone possible that will turn them around.

They need someone bold and young and fresh and...
...well, they need me.
I'd be innovative and scrap the crowd. Make it real, make it bloody, make it adult. Make parents afraid to let their kids watch (which means the kids will want to more than anything) have bad language, nudity, adult themes. Have entire shows that take place in a parking lot. Throw away the gimmicks and have people dressed as mean mothers, just looking for a fight. Ugly men, street-wise men. Have more innuendo and T&A than Vince McMahon could wet dream about.. Smash glass, push boundaries, make it graphic and unsuitable for anyone under the age of 17 and then watch everyone under 17 desperate to by-pass their parents and want to watch it.
You cannot take on Vince by having a ring, an area, pyro and guys who can execute a series of suplexes. It's not going to happen so make TNA a dirty, dingy, backwater, bastard red-haired step-son of the wrestling industry.

Fine let's see how 6 more years of being the less interesting version of the blandest mainstream wrestling product of the last 30 years gets them. If you want to compete with McMahon you have to hit him where it hurts - television. You have to make your television show 'must see' and you go from there. With that you need to de-construct the entire genre. If I was sat here in 1996 and said you needed to change the industry, have adult themes, violence, nudity, innuendo, do away with the traditional 'good guy/bad guy' thing - there'd have been similar objections. You cannot move forward by simply aping ssomething else. TNA has to try and be different and whether that means having to target the adult market and make their show more gritty and realistic and more 'street' so be it. Either that or keep on putting colourful leotards on guys fresh out of wrestling school and wonder why nobody is going nuts over a rehash of same tired-old wrestling angle storyline we see repeated every five minutes. You cannot beat McMahon at what he does so why try to? Why not try to produce a unique television programme? And how can you produce a unique TV show if you stick rigidly to the rules. There's only so much you can do when you have a well-lit area, a ring, pyro, a crowd, a traditionally segmented TV show and a roster full of guys who have been round the block 1000 times. What else can they do to turn things around? Give the babyface a new hat? WWE have the mainstream, family friendly market sewn up. Why bother competing? If WWE is the show kids sit down with their parents to watch make TNA the show that teens have to sneak up to their bedrooms to stream online.
