Did you know a cousin of Batista is also in the wrestling business? Well I'll be damned. Is this he also the "fake Batista" that everyone gets all worked-up over? Or is that a different guy altogether?

And WCW continues to be WCW as they have Davey Boy Smith drop the WHC to DDP the Nitro after Davey Boy stunk it up with Hulk Hogan. And of course neither of them are in a title feud as Davey Boy Smith isn't doing anything while DDP is teaming with Bret Hart in a feud with Piper and Luger.

{Spoiler}{Genesis Build-Up}
Week 1
- Jeff Hardy comes out and says that he is proud of what he and Austin Aries accomplished on Sunday. He says that he is sad that he came out on the losing side but that the match was a bonafide classic. He says AJ Styles better be ready because after fighting Aries for so long Hardy knows just how touch a competitor Aries really is and Aries will fight tooth and nail to take that championship away from AJ. AJ comes out and says no-one, least of all him, doubts the abilities of Austin Aries but AJ is World Heavyweight Champ for a reason and at Genesis he is confident he will retain his title. Aries comes out and says that he hopes AJ isn’t taking him lightly. He says Genesis is the chance for Aries to reclaim the glory he once felt as TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He says it’s been too long since he held that title. Bobby Roode comes out and says enough. He is sick of AJ Styles and he is sick of Jeff Hardy. They aren’t true champions. He tells Aries that they were great together as a tag team. How about tonight they team up and take out AJ and Hardy. Aries tells him there is no way he is teaming with Roode. Dixie makes it a handicap match. - Manik d. Kenny King to become #1 Contender for the X-Division Championship - Bully Ray enters the ring and tells Manik to “scram” as this is his time now. He says Anderson may have won the match at Genesis but he had to be taken out on a stretch whilst Ray walked out of his own volition. He says he is the baddest man on the planet and nobody can stop him. Manik asks if Ray will ever shut the hell up? Bully is furious and says he’s gonna beat some sense into Manik, he wraps his chain around his fist but Manik kicks it out of his hand. Ray tries to clothesline him but Manik ducks, grabs the chain and smashes Ray in the head with it. Segment ends with Manik lifting Ray’s chain in the air and asking Bully if he knows who Manik is? - Chavo Guerrero comes out and says he sent Hernandez packing on Sunday and he still isn’t getting the respect he deserves so for that he’s done, these people don’t deserve to see the greatest wrestler in the history of the Guerrero family perform in front of them. He leaves. - Sting and Magnus come out and say they were robbed at Final Resolution. Dixie comes out and grants them a rematch at Genesis. Generation Me come out and say that they are the #1 contender’s not Sting and Magnus. Dixie says Generation Me can face the winners. This infuriates Generation Me who leave seething. - Samoa Joe is in the ring and he wants a piece of Eric Young, Joseph Park and Abyss right now. EY comes out and says Abyss has not turned up tonight but EY and Joseph Park don’t feel the need to show their superiority over Joe yet again. They’re done with him. - Alissa Flash and Mickie James team up to beat Gail Kim and Brooke Tessmacher. After the match Flash says she’s coming for the Knockout’s Title. - AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy d. Bobby Roode in a 2-on-1 handicap match following a Stylesclash and then a Swanton Bomb. Post-match the face’s are celebrating until Roode grabs a chair and knocks both of them down. Aries comes out for the save and knocks Roode out of the ring with a chair of his own. Hardy is furious and chases after Roode – the two brawl to the back. Aries turns around and AJ knocks the chair out of his hand. Aries extends his hand but AJ slaps it away and the two men brawl to end Impact.
Week 2
- Magnus is attacked mysteriously backstage and Sting comes out to the ring demanding to know who did it. Bad Influence come out and claim responsibility but then so do Generation Me. The four men get in the ring arguing over who did it until Sting loses patience and tells them to let him know the truth or they will pay. All four men lay into Sting and give him a vicious beatdown that lasts an uncomfortable amount of time. All of a sudden James Storm’s music hits and the others scatter. He stands Sting up only to superkick him back down! Storm leaves to a chorus of boos. - Chris Sabin d. Manik to retain the X-Division Championship following interference from Bully Ray. Manik had the match in hand until Ray hit him from behind with a chain allowing Sabin to take advantage and pick up the victory. Post-match Sabin leaves the ring and allows Ray to continue the assault. - Jeff Hardy is in the ring and he wants some of Bobby Roode. Roode comes out and says is Hardy kidding? Why would Roode fight Hardy, after all Hardy need not one but two friends to save him from the beating Roode was giving him last week. Roode has proven he is the better man, there is no need to fight. Hardy preys on Roode’s ego and asks if he’s too scared to fight. The two men eventually get into it until security separates them. - Alissa Flash d. Brooke Tessmacher, Mickie James and ODB in a Fatal-4-Way match to determine the #1 contender for the Knockout’s Title. After the match James raises Flash’s hand and tells her to win the title at Genesis. - Joseph Park is talking to an interviewer in his locker room and says he wants to know where his brother Abyss is at. He says he got sidetracked by his dream of becoming a pro wrestler but it’s time to find his brother. When he tries to leave the locker room he finds the door locked. On the other side Samoa Joe laughs and walks away. - The camera cuts backstage where we find Samoa Joe beating the living hell out of Eric Young. Joe wants a match at Genesis. EY says he was in no condition to fight before this assault and after it there is no chance of a match at Genesis. Joe continues to beat him up until EY says Joe can wrestle Park instead. Joe agrees to this and walks off. - AJ comes out and says he wants to apologise to Austin Aries, in the heat of the moment he did some things he regrets, he knows Aries was just trying to help and he’s sorry. Aries comes out and says it takes a big man to admit his mistake but Aries isn’t interested in apologies. At the end of the day, whilst he respects AJ, he doesn’t like him and he feels sure the feeling is mutual but for right now, he doesn’t want to wait for Genesis. The two brawl until Aries gets the upper hand and he hits the brainbuster before posing with the World Title above AJ.
Week 3
- Dixie Carter announces she is looking for a General Manager and is accepting all applications. She announces due to the injuries Sting (severe concussion amongst other things) sustained last week he and Magnus will be unable to challenge for the Tag Team Titles at Genesis. She says she hates to reward Generation Me given their actions last week but they are the #1 contender’s so they will face Bad Influence at Genesis. - Sabin comes out and says he thinks he should have the night off at Genesis following his successful title defence last week. Dixie disagrees and says Sabin will defend in his match an Ultimate X match. Sabin is furious but asks who he will be facing; Dixie says she’ll let him know next week on Impact when she’s had time to come up with some contender’s. - Gail Kim cuts a promo claiming to be the greatest Knockout’s Champion in history. Alissa Flash interrupts and says whilst Gail maybe the greatest Knockout’s Champion right now, at Genesis she’s going to lose that title and when Flash is finished Gail won’t be the greatest Knockout’s Champion ever either. - Magnus comes out and demands to know why Storm attacked Sting last week. Storm comes out and says his tag partner was brutalised by Generation Me and nobody moved an inch to help him. He wanted revenge and what did Dixie give him? A #1 Contender’s match instead so she could give her golden boys Magnus and Sting the title shot. Then when Generation Me had won they beat him down after the match but no-one came to help him. He realised Generation Me and Bad Influence weren’t who he should be mad at. It was people like Magnus and Sting. So that’s why at Genesis he’s had Dixie Carter approve a match between him and Magnus. Last week he took out Sting, at Genesis he’s taking out Magnus. - Manik is in Dixie’s office and he wants Ray tonight. Dixie says that’s not possible because she has suspended him until further notice because of his interference last week and his unprovoked assault on Manik. She says she’ll find Manik another opponent for tonight. This does not appease Manik who says he wants Bully next week. Dixie asks if he’d be okay with waiting until Genesis. Manik agrees. - Manik d. A local jobber in less than a minute. Manik takes out a lot of his frustrations towards Bully Ray on the jobber. - Samoa Joe is in the ring and he says in two weeks at Genesis he is going to get his revenge on Joseph Park and Eric Young. Abyss too if he shows up and he will finally end this ridiculous saga. He says Park has been manipulated by EY but that just makes him gullible not innocent. At Genesis, Joe is gonna kill all of them. - Roode is backstage talking to Dixie – he wants to know what disciplinary action Dixie is going to take against Jeff Hardy after his “display of petulance and showing how much of a sore loser he is last week”. Dixie says she’s come up with a solution, Roode vs. Hardy, one-on-one at Genesis. If Roode cheats or gets himself DQ’d/Counted Out/Anything Dixie deems to be inappropriate then he will be fired. Roode is irate. - AJ comes out and he wants Aries right now. He says he’s sick of all this waiting. Aries vs. AJ should happen now. Security comes out and says they’ve been sent by Dixie to stop Aries and AJ ruining the main event at Genesis by injuring one another. All of a sudden Aries comes out and attacks the security. AJ attacks them too until it is just Aries and AJ left, they start beating the hell out of each other. Eventually AJ hits a pele kick on the outside and then pulls out a table and Stylesclashes Aries through it.
Week 4
- Austin Aries is in the ring and says that there will be a contract signing later tonight but on Sunday at Genesis he doesn’t need to resort to weapons like AJ does. He’s just going to out wrestle AJ. - Dixie approaches Magnus backstage and says she is still sickened by what James Storm has done. She says that Magnus needs to avenge Sting at Genesis. Just in case he needs any more incentive Dixie has made the match a #1 contender’s match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Magnus says he doesn’t need any further incentives but he won’t mind becoming #1 contender in the process. - Bad Influence come out and say they are the best tag team in the “biz-a-ness” and at Genesis they prove it once again. Generation Me come out and say Bad Influence were the most entertaining, charismatic and talented duo that Impact had ever seen. Daniels and Kazarian laugh and say they are glad Gen Me understand that. The Buck’s chuckle and say “Did you not notice we were using the past tense there”. They tell Bad Influence that they are old news now and Generation Me are simply a younger, better looking, more entertaining and more talented tag team than the Old Influence. At Genesis they are taking those tag titles. - EY is on the stage with Joseph Park and says how dare Samoa Joe assault him last week and how dare he claim that EY is manipulating Park. EY says Park and he are best of friends, the greatest tag team ever. He says at Genesis Joseph Park is going to teach Samoa Joe a lesson in respect. EY says he has faith in Park to get the job done. - Later in the show Dixie finds Sabin and tells him that at Genesis he’ll be facing Greg Marasciulo, Kenny King, Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt and Zema Ion in the Ultimate X match. Sabin is apoplectic but Dixie just smiles and leaves. - Alissa Flash d. Brooke Tessmacher and after the match she says at Genesis she will win the Knockout’s Championship at the first time. Mickie James comes out and says she believes in Alissa and at Genesis she will be in Flash’s corner, but once Flash becomes Champion she has to know that Mickie is coming for that belt. The two shake hands before leaving. - Bully Ray comes out and says Manik is just a small man in a big world. At Genesis he’s going to realise that he can’t play in the big leagues. Manik comes out down to the ring but stops just short of getting in and says the match at Genesis has been changed, it won’t be Manik vs. Ray in a singles match. Bully smiles and says he’s glad Manik has finally seen sense. Manik smiles and simply says “At Genesis it will be Manik vs. Bully Ray in a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH!” Ray’s jaw drops but then he slides out of the ring to attack Manik, Manik slides in though and hits a suicide dive on Bully. Manik celebrates in the ring as Bully retreats up the ramp. - Bobby Roode d. A Local Jobber – the match takes longer than it should because Roode keeps hesitating where he would usually just cheat. The jobber comes close to the upset several times but eventually Roode pulls out the win. Post-match he looks conflicted but in the end shakes the jobber’s hand. - Dixie Carter is in the ring for the AJ Styles vs. Austin Aries contract signing. She asks both men to remain civil, a request she says she made to both of them backstage earlier. They both sign the contract. Then Aries takes the mic he says he understands that Dixie wants this contract signing to go off without a hitch so he’s just going to say this, at Genesis he is taking AJ Styles’ World Heavyweight Championship and there is nothing that AJ can do about that. AJ says Aries calls himself The Greatest Man That Ever Lived but at Genesis he just isn’t good enough to hang with the Phenomenal One. Both men get in to a stare down but shake hands as Impact goes off the air. Genesis1) Chris Sabin © d. Greg Marasciulo, Kenny King, Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt and Zema Ion in an Ultimate X Match to retain the X-Division Title 2) Gail Kim © d. Alissa Flash (w/ Mickie James) to retain the Knockout’s Championship after Mickie James interferes and turns on Flash 3) Bad Influence © d. Generation Me to retain the TNA Tag Team Titles in a match that had plenty of cheating from both sides. Eventually Daniels nails Max Buck in the head with a chair before picking up the win. Even Kazarian looks shocked at Daniels' actions. 4) Samoa Joe d. Joseph Park (w/ Eric Young) – Joe defeats Park after preventing EY from busting Park open with a chair. Joe knocked EY off the ring apron to the floor and then hit the Musclebuster on Park for the win. Post-match EY slaps Park and says “You let me down Joseph.” 5) Bully Ray d. Manik in a brutal Last Man Standing Match 6) Jeff Hardy d. Bobby Roode – Roode has several chances to take shortcuts but doesn’t, in the end Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and then the Swanton Bomb to pick up the win. Post-match he offers his hand to Roode. Roode looks crestfallen but eventually accepts before leaving the ring. 7) Magnus d. James Storm to become #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship following a Top-Rope Michinoku Driver. 8) AJ Styles © d. Austin Aries to retain the World Heavyweight Championship – A hard fought match comes to an end when Aries taps out to the Calf Killer. After the match the two shake hands, hug and then Aries raises AJ’s hand.

Oh cool, I guess I've just been extremely lucky/unlucky in all my files to have not gotten it yet. I'm guessing it makes the talent unfireable or gives them creative control or something?

In an older game I had, I had this happen twice in the span of a month (Sheamus & Derrick Bateman), then it didn't happen again for like 8 months (Johnny Curtis).

Here are the results for the Survivor Series 2012 card I came up with...
PRESHOW: El Generico, Curtis Axel, Shawn Michaels and Sara Del Rey defeated Epico, Primo, Heath Slater and Kaitlyn in a Survivor Series 4-on-4 match. Just for the pre-show. Rating: B
MAIN SHOW:
Beth Phoenix (c) defeated AJ Lee to retain the Divas Championship. A bit of a clean victory for Phoenix. Rating: C+
Team Death Punch defeated The Usos (c) and Xavier Woods/Seth Rollins in a ladder match to win the Tag Team Championships. The ending to a wild feud for the tag team titles. Death Punch and the team of Woods and Rollins will most likely be moving up to a 4-way with two other teams for a classic TLC tag team 4-way dance at the next PPV. Rating: B
Team Ryder (Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and Rey Mysterio) defeated Team Kane (Kane, Drew McIntyre, Mark Henry and Sonjay Dutt) To build up the United States title feud for TLC and possibly Royal Rumble as well. I, at one point, planned to have Kharma on Team Kane for a unique change of pace with a big and tough female wrestler on a team. Rating B+
Ryback (c) defeated Chris Sabin to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Ryback's winning streak will probably be ended at WrestleMania, or some point between Mania and SummerSlam. Rating: A
Team Orton (Randy Orton, Evan Bourne, Santino Marella, Ezekiel Jackson and The Great Khali) defeated Team Miz (The Miz, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase) A part of the World Heavyweight title feud that will be slightly modified to replace Tensai and either Orton or Swagger with Sheamus and Mark Henry. Rating: A
Dolph Ziggler (c) defeated Jack Swagger, Daniel Bryan and Tensai to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. I didn't even book a winner; I made it "may the best man win", and somehow Ziggler still won. Rating: A
Team Sting (Sting, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Tyson Kidd and The Undertaker) defeated Team Heyman (Brock Lesnar, Alberto Del Rio, Bray Wyatt, The Big Show and Zombie Benoit) A continuation of the feud over who will soon go after the WWE Champion around WrestleMania. Rating: A* (A lot of star power in this match, so I expected as much a big rating)
Christian defeated CM Punk (c) to win the WWE Championship, after The Rock interfered to give CM Punk a Rock Bottom. Wanted to give Christian a "thank-you" WWE Championship title run for a few months. Plus, I still wanted Punk/Rock to happen in some form at the Royal Rumble like real-life, so there might be a series of triple threats between the three superstars going into the next two PPVs (and maybe Tribute to the Troops as well). Rating: A*

Soooo...
When I scouted for good talent to put into the WWE roster, I noticed that Austin Aries, who started off as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, before losing it to Kurt Angle soon after the starting point, suddenly became an all-out jobber in no less than two months later.
The three matches he had after vs. Angle for the title: vs. Matt Morgan in the 4th week of August on TNA Xplosion. vs. Eric Young at No Surrender. Teaming with Dutch Mantell and Chavo Guerrero vs. Tara, ODB and Mickie James at Bound For Glory.
All three of those matches he lost.
...so I decided to request negotiations with Aries in order to save him from the TNA doghouse. TNA basically did to him what Family Guy just recently did to Brian.

Ran into a run-time error with my TNA 2007/8 game so that's dead. Sucks as I was just starting to get back into it again after sleep-booking my way through a couple of PPVs. Now, I'm trying to decide if I want to do a WWE game starting after WM 19, WWE after WM 20, or a current small custom indie company.

The last couple of games I did like that were really fun. It's nice creating your own homegrown stars.

Gonna get back into TEW. Anyone got some good scenarios/picture packs? Montreal 1997 is still a mainstay and probably the best real world database avaliable. Every modern day database that I've encountered have been really lazy and overrate plenty of wrestlers and underrate the entire female gender. Still, the best way to play the game is with the default database since that's incredibly balanced.

EWR... running Major League Wrestling back in 2002 I think, and I make the signing of a lifetime (at least in this game it was): I got Monty Brown. Woo!
So then I run a month long tournament for the newly minted United States Championship that I created solely to raise Monty from the midcard to the Main Event (don't ask why Monty, I'm not even sure why myself) and spoiler alert! Monty Wins.
Our show is on Monday Night, Late Evening, so now it's Tuesday and UH-OH. An incident happens. Whatever could it be, you ask? MONTY BROWN HAS A BROKEN LEG AND WILL BE OUT 7 MONTHS!
Now I had Terry Funk (my commissioner dude) vacant the title and usher in a single match for it. Some guy that went far in the tourny named Chris Hero is going to be taking on a young up-and-comer in CM Punk.
Punk might be a main eventer, and he owes it all to Monty Brown... heh.
