This bundle ends tomorrow afternoon (ET). So, if want an excuse to finally upgrade from EWR to TEW, this is your chance.

I gotta ask, is there enough of a difference between TEW2010 and TEW2013 to justify a £25 investment?

I gotta ask, is there enough of a difference between TEW2010 and TEW2013 to justify a £25 investment? The main thing about TEW 13 is that it streamlines a lot of the stuff that existed TEW 10. It's just a smoother playing experience than any other TEW game before it because it's so simple and easy. The pre-booking system murders the Advanced Booking system in older games.

I hate to say this but is it easier though? My main problem is that I can't seem to stop WWE dropping to Cult in TEW2010 no matter what I do. I wouldn't really bother but need to be at least National to have big matches like Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber and Hell in a Cell matches, otherwise the PPVs named after said matches are kinda pointless. Though I think part of the problem is that the data file I'm using has most of the WWE roster as kinda underrated. Look at the Rumble card I posted on the last page. When I actually ran that show I got a C-. I'd do better if I had a more up-to-date data file but there isn't one of TEW2010. Another reason I want to upgrade to TEW2013. I dunno, I'll see once my preorder of WWE 2K16 is paid off.

I dunno if it's necessarily easier but the modern data pack I'm using right now seems a hell of a lot better than anything I played on TEW 10. I haven't played as WWE yet since I like to play as smaller feds in TEW games but it seems more balanced and accurate than other modern data packs. Personally, I feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth with the game.

92,000+ just watched the 10,000lb giant Andre slam Hulkamania to death at the Pontiac Silverdome at a December 1987 supercard in my TEW2010 game. Hogan's turned heel too.

I really want to get into TEW it just seems complicated I thought the same & love it now Easiest way to get into is to download the demo & run one of the smaller feds. Where you have a smaller roster, less shows to book, shorter shows, things like the heel/face don't matter, only males to book etc all make it all a little less daunting I hated the idea of the default World but quickly got into it & it's the only one I use now, the XL version I played the demo with CZCW & ran the first show dozens of times to get a feeling of how to play it properly & get the best grades One tip I'll give is to edit the matches in the database to suit your company's product. You do it in game, all very easy & then the types of matches you put on will suit the audience & you won't get dinged

All this talk about TEW13 makes me want to take the plunge and buy the game. Question for those who have it, how's the learning curve between 13 and 05? I've been playing 05 for sometime but I never tried any of the newer versions because I'm a cheap bastard how much has changed between the two games?

Just got this a few days ago and having fun booking the indies. About half a year into PWG and setting up a stacked DDT4 & BOLA with my $500,000 profit.
Bad Influence vs reDRagon Chris Sabin & Matt Sydal vs Zack Sabre Jr & Marty Scrull The Young Bucks vs Angelico & Jack Evans The Unbreakable F'N Machines vs Chris Hero & Davey Richards (Hero/Richards are going over in the tournament)
Hoping to get Shelton Benjamin, James Storm, Fenix, Jay Briscoe, & Tommy End for BOLA
EDIT: So despite building tons of momentum for Hero/Richards, Richards refused to negotiate and will leave PWG 2 weeks after the show. As well, I forgot to check schedules and realized Sabre/Scrull were booked for PROGRESS that night. Luckily, it was a blessing in disguise as after some reshuffling of the brackets (As well as a goodbye squash from Cage to Richards), Angelico/Evans ended up as the DDT & tag team champions after beating the Young Bucks in the finals. I also decided to fill in the voids by teaming Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt together and bringing in Charlie Hass & Shelton Benjamin for a few months

It'd probably be easier for you play the 13 demo and ask questions that you have while playing the demo than it is trying to ask what's changed between 05 to 13.

This is true but I will say that, in my humble opinion, once you get used to TEW 13, it's so much less of a hassle to use than TEW 05. The multi-advance option alone makes it an easier game to play. 05's interface is just frustrating once you've played 10 or 13.

In my AWA 1987 game I have hired a bunch of dudes, I hired Scott Hall and before his debut I got two locker room incidents. 1, Scott Hall tried to start a fight with Kendall Windham and 2, everybody loves Blue Demon Jr because he brought a bunch of free booze with him. Coincidence? I don't think so.
The World title is on Curt Hennig right now, but he's gonna drop it to Terry Gordy at the next supercard because I'm trying to make the game more realistic (and difficult) by not employing guys when they were employed exclusively by WWF/WCW in the real world. That means I have to make a bunch of my own stars before the 90s or I'll be f***ed because those guys hired *everybody*.
My other restriction is only guys with star quality 70+ can win my world title.
Hennig is my top heel, I built him up as a super babyface teaming with babyface Nick Bockwinkel to win the tag titles. I figured the fans would love them together since they were both AWA loyalists at that point. Then I pushed Hennig to win the World title from my then-top heel Adrian Adonis (doing his biker gimmick). Then at the following show Hennig cuts a promo about how good it feels to finally be 'the man' after so many years of others hogging the spotlight, hinting at what would happen later. In the main event he and Bockwinkel are defending the tag titles against the Midnight Express when Hennig turns on Bockwinkel and beats the piss out of him and walks out, leaving him to lose.
That set up a couple supercards headlined by Hennig-Bockwinkel. Hennig won the feud and now he's doing a 'chosen one' gimmick, and feuding with Terry Gordy. Gordy beat him by DQ at the last supercard, setting up a ladder match for the title at the next one. Gordy is gonna win because Hennig is due to leave for the WWF around this time.

Alright downloaded the demo for TEW13 last night and have been really enjoying it for the most part. I haven't checked the Help screen yet so this question may be answered in it or it might just be because this is a demo but why do some workers have a letter grade in relation to their skills while others just have a "average" or "strong" etc instead? Does this have to do with the Young Lion thing? It's really the only problem I've had since it's kind of annoying to not just have one system for assessing skills.

That's to do with the fog of war system. You can easily turn it off by going to the settings menu in game (the last icon before clicking to move on a day) then selecting the user preferences and turning fog of war off.

I turn it off but only because I like the unpredictablity of not knowing who's gonna wind up being an absolute stud in the ring and who's gonna wind up being a flop.
