small note: quagmire gets on his high horse as much if not more than brian does/did.
Brian was the moral conscious of the family, The only one that actually cared for the well being of the family.
Now we'll get to have 4 morons and stewie who will be relegated to more gay jokes.

Uh as anyone noticed the general reaction to Vinny has been shockingly positive.
I hardly see anyone saying he's terrible, one would expect that he would have been met with a far more negative reaction than he has been.
And I kinda like him.
Still want Brian back, though.

I don't mind him and am interested to see where they go with him. I will miss Brian as well, however.

I can see this angle with Vinny being played out with Brian's return being done as a gradual thing. I have a feeling that McFarlane would know that fans would not accept Brian being permanently dead. This might be part of an overstretching story arc(instead of Brian being brought from out of nowhere someday).

Kudos to 'em for doing something different if they stick with it.
I'll be honest though, the only thing I'm really interested in Seth Macfarlane doing is his revamped version of 'Cosmos'.

Late to this, I know.
But after watching the episode, I had a twisted thought:
We never saw the driver of that car.
What if the driver was Vinnie, and this ended up being a plot to replace Brian completely?
...or am I thinking too pro-wrestling on this?

It won't hapen, but I'd like for Brian to stay dead.
It's perhaps not the best decision for the longevity of the show, but his fan service retcon revival is almost sure to be stupid.

I was actually expecting Austin getting hit by a car from Survivor Series 1999, not Foley being thrown from the Hell In The Cell.

I loved the opening in the Native American run future (especially the big box jean jacket store and the "all other stuff store", that decides to sell jean jackets). The thing that really gets me about Brian's death is watching Stewie's reaction to the oncoming car because he was in his street hockey gear about to innocently play a quaint game of street hockey. Just a (maniacly evil, baby genius) boy and his (anthropomorphic) dog. I also loved the bit making fun of how Italian-Americans (through Vinny the dog) react to unfortunate news and how they react when they hear someone has pulled through. and Brian doesn't believe in God(even though he met Jesus) so if Heaven is real does that mean he's in hell right now? Stewie: Man, this is worse than that time I ran into Randy Orton at the pet cemetary! *Cut away to Stewie placing a bouquet of flowers on Brian's grave* Rando Orton: All dogs don't go to heaven Stewie, because Brian's in hell!

I wouldn't assume Brian being back so early, this could just be Stewie having a dream. I could see them tricking fans into thinking he's back a couple times before letting him come back permanently.

Y'know, even though the "in hell" thing would only be known to die hard fans, I wouldn't be surprised if FG ever did an Orton gag considering there've been a number of wrestling references on Seth shows.
